Цели урока:

  1. Воспитательная: Формирование у учащихся сознательного отношения к своим правам.
  2. Развивающая: Знакомство с Конвенцией ООН по правам детей и основными правами, провозглашенными в данной конвенции.
  3. Обучающая: Формирование лексических навыков говорения и письменной речи.

Оборудование: Мультимедийный проектор, презентация POWER POINT,компьютеры, подключенные к Интернету, лист ватмана, фломастеры.

1. Организационный момент.

Good morning. I’m glad to see you today. The theme of our lesson is the convention on the rights of the child.

2. Речевая зарядка.

What do you know about the convention? Agree or disagree with my statements.

  1. The convention is the first legally binding international document about the rights of children.
  2. The convention consists of 50 articles.
  3. It was ratified by Russia in 1991.
  4. The rights should apply to young people everywhere whether they live in rich or poor countries.
  5. The Convention was approved by the UN on the 20th November of 1989.

3. Основная часть (Работа в группах)

And today we have a special session of the United Nations Council devoted to the Convention. You’ll be the representatives of three committees of the Council. The first committee is responsible for social rights of children, the second committee works with political rights and the third committee is the cultural rights committee.

Now, ladies and gentlemen we begin our session.

We have known that it’s a very serious and useful document. But how does it work?

Let’s look through the UNICEF reports about addressing the needs of children, promoting rights for children and protecting and realizing children’s rights.

What new information do you know?

c). Аудирование.

A lot of doing to help children and what do they think about the convention?

We have three video letters from the teenagers. Let’s watch them.

1 video letter:

I can’t but agree that to have the right to life and protection is very important. But in my opinion, the convention is useless. All adults do is talk; they can’t be forced to put needs of children ahead of their own.

2 video letter:

The convention doesn’t interest me; it’s too complicated. I doubt whether it can give children real rights.

3 video letter:

What? The convention? What is it? I don’t know anything about the

Convention.

What is their attitude to the convention? Is it positive or negative?

What can you suggest doing to change their attitude to the Convention?

We suggest doing the convention in pictures? We have to, because it helps to understand the Convention.

We suggest taking an Appeal to the teenagers about their rights.

d). Проектная работа.

(Ученики работают в 2 группах. Первая группа создает конвенцию в картинках, а вторая группа пишет обращение к подросткам.)

1 group: We have done the Convention in pictures and we’d like to explain it.

2 group: We appeal to the teenagers and we want to say them………
