Общеобразовательная цель: приобщить учащихся к культуре англоязычных стран, расширить и углубить знания учащихся о традициях и обычаях стран изучаемого языка.
Развивающая задача: обеспечить отработку изучаемого материала в ситуациях реального общения.
Воспитательная задача: научить учащихся сравнивать особенности жизни и быта в Якутии, России и англоязычных странах. Прививать учащимся уважительное отношение к культуре своего народа и других народов.
Дидактический материал: Опорные карточки по ситуативному моделированию, грамматические карточки, картинки, карточки-клише.
Ход урока
I. Организационный момент.
Good morning, boys and girls. Glad to meet you. I hope you are all feeling well today. And now get ready for the lesson.
Today we are going to talk about different cultures of people. We’ll compare life and traditions of different nationalities.

Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы. И делятся своими мнениями.
IV. Основная часть.
Today we are going to talk about the differences in cultures. We will compare American, British ,Russian and Yakut culture sand traditions. They make a nation special. Some of them are old-fashioned and few remember them, others are part of people’s life. What is normal? Something which you think is quite extraordinary. Britain, America, Russia are different from our own Yakutia. You will like some of the differences and some you will not be so keen on. This is natural. Please, take these cards and read. Then compare the cultures.
На карточках написаны примеры из культур Британии и Америки (приветствия, прием гостей, как и что дарят, манеры, жесты и т.д.). Учащиеся читают эти примеры и сравнивают с русской культурой и якутской.
And now you see that British and American cultures have many similars. But Russian and Yakut cultures are different from them.
V. Ролевая игра
Well, boys and girls, let’s have a game. Please, divide into two groups. Then choose one of the topics on the blackboard and discuss them. Working in groups, decide what is the advantages and disadvantages. Think out a plan. Our topics are about customs and traditions of different nationalities.
VI. Проектная работа
Now I want you to make your own projects about British, American, Russian and Yakut cultures.
Учащиеся делятся на четыре группы и начинают делать красочные альбомы (можно коллажи, стенгазеты, плакаты и т.д.) о Британии, Америке, России и Якутию В конце работы учащиеся приходят к выводу, что каждый народ уникален и неповторим.
