Сценарий английского праздника "Книги – это наши друзья"

Одна из основных задач обучения иноязычной речи – развитие навыков говорения, то есть, учащиеся должны обладать умениями и навыками выражения своих мыслей на английском языке. При этом надо учитывать существующий психологический барьер, внутреннюю зажатость ребенка перед говорением на иностранном языке. Преодоление этих трудностей является основной задачей учителей иностранного языка. Для этого мы используем различные приемы, как в ходе урока, так и во внеурочное время.

Остановлюсь на использовании в своей практике приемов театрализации и драматизации. Театральная постановка – это ролевая игра, которая создает прекрасные условия для овладения языком, помогает усвоению языка в любом возрасте, но в младшем школьном возрасте она особенно продуктивна. Игра раскрепощает ребенка, стимулирует его фантазию, развивает память, внимание, дисциплину, делает ребенка активным и творческим участником процесса, приучает его к коллективным формам работы в группе, в классе, пробуждает любознательность.

Предлагаемый сценарий английского праздника “Книги – это наши друзья” является результатом синтеза урочной и внеурочной деятельности как средство повышения мотивации школьников при обучении английскому языку. Этот учебный год был объявлен годом книги, чем и обосновывался выбор темы. Драматизация праздника была представлена детьми 4 класса, изучающими английский язык углубленно третий год.

BOOKS ARE OUR FRIENDS

Narrator: Good afternoon, dear girls and boys, teachers and parents! We’ve come today to tell about our favourite books. Most children like to read and think that books are their friends. I think so, too. I like to read very much. And what do you think about books, boys and girls?

Pupils: Books are our friends. We want to talk about books.

(Выходят два ученика и маленькая девочка с книгой)

1st pupil:

A new little book
Full of pictures was bought
For a good little girl
Whose name was Jane Dort.

2nd pupil:

She looked at the pictures
And liked them indeed,
But she was too young
To spell and to read.

(Выходит ученик с большой энциклопедией)

3rd pupil:

I hold my book with both my hands,
And read about some foreign lands;
And so I get to know all kinds of places
Where people live with different faces.

(Выходят продавцы с нарисованными обложками книг разных форматов)

Narrator: What do book-shops sell?

1st bookseller:

Big books and little books,
Picture books as well.
Just think of all the lovely books,
That all the book-shops sell.

2nd bookseller:

Here are some jokes
For you to read.
I think, dear boys and girls,
You’ll like them all indeed.

3rd bookseller:

And here you see some story-books
Just for you to read.
And now I hope, dear boys and girls,
You’ll enjoy them all.

4th pupil:

“A Book” (by Adelaide Love)
A book, I think, is very like
A little golden door,
That takes me into places
Where I’ve never been before.
It leads me into fairyland
Or countries strange and far.
And, best of all, the golden door
Always stands ajar.

Narrator: Ученики нашего класса сделали литературный перевод этого стихотворения “Книга” и хотели бы поделиться своими работами с вами.

(Ученики показывают оформленные переводы данного стихотворения и декламируют их.)

A dirty book:

I am the book that Betty read
At her table an hour ago.
She’s left me standing on my head.
And where she is I do not know.
Just look at this dirty, dirty page!
Dear me! What shall I do?
Though I love girls of Betty’s age,
I won’t stay with Betty Blue.

(“Потрепанная книжка” собирается уходить, ученик останавливает ее, успокаивает и обращается ко всем детям.)

5th pupil:

Since books are friends,
They need much care.
When you’re reading them,
Be good to them and fair.

6th pupil:

Use book-marks, children,
To hold your place.
And don’t you turn a book
Upon its clear face.

All together:

Remember, children, then:
Books are meant to read,
Not to cut or colour them –
No, really, never indeed!

Girl:

Father is going to read a book,
So he won’t play with me.
Mother is busy with her cook-book,
So she won’t play with me.
Dear me! Dear me!
No one is going to play with me.
Granny is going to read a book,
So she won’t play with me.
David is busy with his text-book,
So he won’t play with me.
Dear me! Dear me!
No one is going to play with me.

Narrator: Let’s sing a song about friendship.

Narrator: Books are meant to read, but we can also use them to make plays.

The Librarian: Boys and girls, I am a librarian. Now have a look at this book. It was written many years ago, but it’s still very popular among children all over the world because it is one of the most favourite fairy tales. And now you have a good chance to see your favourite characters.

Cinderella

Story-teller: This is the story of Cinderella. She is the beautiful girl. She hasn’t got a mother. Her father has got a second wife now, and she is Cinderella’s stepmother. She is a horrible woman. She has got two daughters, Pat and Liz. They are Cinderella’s stepsisters.

Cinderella: Good morning, Daddy, dear!

Father: Good morning, my child. How are you today?

Cinderella: Fine, Daddy. And you?

Father: Oh, I’m OK, but, my child…

Cinderella: Yes, Daddy?

(Enter Lady Sybil)

Stepmother: Cinderella. What are you doing? You’re not working!

Father: But…

Stepmother: Work, girl, work. Make the breakfast. I’m hungry. I want my toast, jam, cheese and a cup of tea.

Cinderella: Yes, stepmother.

Stepmother: And you, Basil, what are you doing? Helping the girl?

Father: Er, no…

Stepmother: My daughters are coming down and they want their breakfast, too.

Cinderella: Yes, stepmother, everything is ready.

Story-teller: Today there is a ball in the King’s palace. Invitation cards are sent to many important people of the kingdom. What about Lady Sybil? Will she also get an invitation card?

(Enter Pat and Liz)

Cinderella: Good morning, sisters.

Pat and Liz: Good morning, Mummy dear.

(Enter Postman)

Postman: Lord Basil. Lady Sybil. You are invited to the ball to the King’s palace. Here is your invitation card.

Pat and Liz: Oh, Mummy dear. How lucky we are!

Stepmother: Yes, we are. But we haven’t got new clothes. We need some beautiful clothes for the ball. I want a party dress.

Pat: And me, too. I want a beautiful white evening dress. And I want a blue hat and white shoes.

Liz: And me, too. I want a beautiful blue evening dress, blue shoes and a white hat.

Cinderella: And me, too. I can’t wear these old clothes. I want some new clothes.

Stepmother, Pat and Liz: You?...

Cinderella: Yes, me.

Stepmother: You can’t go to the ball.

Pat: No, you can’t go to the ball.

Liz: No, you can’t go to the ball.

Postman: Oh yes, she can. Look here. The invitation card says: “To Lord Basil and Lady Sybil and their three daughters.” So she can go to the ball.

Stepmother: Oh no, she can’t.

Postman: Oh yes, she can.

Pat and Liz: Oh no, she can’t.

Stepmother: Oh yes, she can.

Pat and Liz: What?

Stepmother: Yes, she can go to the ball. Of course, she can. Thank you, Postman. Goodbye. Cinderella, you can go to the ball. But first there’s some work for you to do. Make beds, go to the shop and buy food and drink, make tea, wash my clothes…

Liz: Wash my clothes.

Pat: And my clothes.

Liz: Wash my dress!

Pat: And my dress!

Liz: My stockings!

Pat: My socks!

Stepmother: And only then you can make your dress for the ball. And then you can go to the ball.

Cinderella: Oh no, I can’t do all that today! How can I go to the ball now?

III

Story-teller: So Lady Sybil with her two daughters has gone to the ball. Cinderella hasn’t goy new clothes. She can’t go to the King’s palace. It’s 9 o’clock. The ball is starting. Who can help her?

Cinderella: I’m so unhappy. I can’t go to the ball. Who can help me?

Fairy: I can help you, Cinderella.

Cinderella: But who are you?

Fairy: I’m your Fairy Godmother. I can do things for you. Now tell me what’s your problem?

Cinderella: My dear Fairy Godmother, I can’t go to the ball, but I want to go there so much!

Fairy: And where are your sisters? At the ball? M-m-m-m. Well, let me see. Aha! That’s a good idea! Cinderella, give me a box, that shoe – box over there.

Cinderella: Here you are.

Fairy: Now you stand there near the box. One, two, three! Look out of the window, Cinderella! Here’s your carriage! One horse and one driver. Now you can go to the ball.

Cinderella: My clothes. I can’t wear these at the ball.

Fairy: M-m-m-m, no, you can’t. Close your eyes, Cinderella. One, two, three! Now open your eyes.

Cinderella: What a beautiful dress!

Fairy: And so you are, Cinderella. Now you can go to the ball and have a good time.

Cinderella: Thank you, thank you, Fairy Godmother.

Fairy: But, Cinderella, there is just one thing.

Cinderella: Yes?

Fairy: You can have these things only until 12 o’clock. Come home before that time. Do you understand?

Cinderella: Oh yes, yes. Thank you, thank you. Thank you very much, Fairy Godmother!

Fairy: Bye, Cinderella. Have a good time and remember – you must be back home before 12 o’clock.

IV

Story-teller: We invite you to the King’s palace. The ball is going on here. All the guests enjoy themselves dancing, talking to each other and listening to music. All young girls try to attract Prince’s attention. But it seems to me he doesn’t like anybody. Let’s see what will happen next.

(Сцена на балу. Все танцуют падеграс.)

(Enter Cinderella.)

Prince: Who are you, my beautiful girl? What’s your name? Where do you live?

Cinderella: I live in the country with my father, stepmother and two stepsisters.

King: Oh dear. You are so pretty. Are you a princess, my dear beautiful girl?

Prince: No, your majesty, she lives in the country with her father and stepmother. But she is so nice, isn’t she?

(Принц приглашает Золушку и они танцуют вдвоем. В середине танец прерывается боем часов.)

Cinderella: Oh, I’m sorry. I can’t speak with you, I must go.

Prince: Oh no, stop, please, wait.

(Возвращается с туфелькой. Обращается к королю.)

Prince: She is so pretty. I want to marry her. But I even don’t know her name. What shall I do?

King: Don’t worry, we’ll find her. We have her shoe. You’ll marry that girl, whom this shoe suits.

Story-teller: The Prince went around the half of the kingdom and tried to find his sweetheart. At last he arrived at Cinderella’s house.

(В комнате находится вся семья. Посыльный подходит с туфелькой и обращается к сестрам.)

Postman: The Prince wants you to try this shoe on.

Liz: I want, I want to try it on.

Pat: Oh, I also want to try it on.

Postman: It doesn’t suit you. And you? Will you try it on, please?

Prince: Oh, my sweetheart! I love you!

King: Be happy, my children.
