Задачи:
- развивать внимание, мышление, интеллектуальные способности учащихся;
- воспитывать умение работать в коллективе;
- формировать у учащихся уважение к языку, стране изучаемого языка.
Тип урока: систематизация и обобщение полученных знаний.
Оборудование:
- карта Великобритании;
- флажки, изображающие национальный флаг Великобритании;
- символы стран Соединённого королевства;
- проектор;
- компьютер;
- виды Лондона.
Ход урока
I. Организационный момент.
Teacher: Good morning, dear children! I am glad to see you. I hope you are very well today. The subject of our discussion is Great Britain. I am sure you have got much information about this wonderful country and its people at our lessons. But some things are easily forgotten. Let us brush up our knowledge. We will begin our lesson with the quotation from famous English writer Oscar Wilde: I do not desire to change anything in England except the weather. It is supposedly characterizes Britain. According to it, what can you say about the UK.
Student: The UK is washed by the seas, that is why the weather is very changeable.
Teacher: Yes, you are right. The weather is a good way to start a conversation in Great Britain.
II. Речевая зарядка.
Teacher: Let us begin our lesson with mini dialogues about the weather .The weather is different, so the dialogues will be different.( прослушивается 3-4 диалога)
III. Работа с лексическим материалом.
Teacher: Britain, the British Isles, the UK- these different names are sometimes used to mean the same things and they often used wrongly. Let us see the difference. Look at the maps and choose the correct caption for each map. (Презентация-3 слайда с картами).
IV. Развитие навыка диалога.
Teacher: We are lucky. Some of our students have already been to the UK this summer. Here they are. (выходят 6 учащихся, на груди у них флажок Соединённого Королевства) You may ask them questions to get more information about this country. Do not forget about direct, assumption, comparing questions.
Student 1: The Englishmen are supposed to be friendly people. Is that so?
Student 2: What is the longest river of Great Britain?
Student 3 : In my country people do not queue at a bus stop. What about Great Britain? (etc).
V. Развитие навыков аудирования и говорения. (Работа в группах).
Teacher: As you know, the UK consists of Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Let us speak about these countries. Listen to me very attentively and look at the pictures of the country. Guess the country and say a few sentences about it. Work in groups. The group must do it quickly. If you know the country, raise the Union Jack.
It is situated in the west of the island of Great Britain.(Wales)
This country lies in the north of Ireland.(Northern Ireland)
It is the mountainous country in the north of the island of Great Britain.(Scotland)
This country is the largest country in the UK.(England)
VI. Развитие навыков чтения и письма. (Работа в группах)
Teacher: In one of London s museum an ancient document is kept. This document is very old and some of its words disappeared. You have a duplicate of this document on your desks. Read the text and complete it. Which group will be the first?
London is one of the ……..cities in the world. About …..million people live here. London stands on ………It is an ………and…….centre. …….,…….,….., are produced in London. It is the ……..of England. The heart of London is the ……There are many ……….in London. The most famous are……………………,……….,……….,…………
VII. Развитие навыка монолога.
Teacher: Let us have a trip around London. There are many sightseeings in it.
Look at the pictures, name the sightseeing and say a few sentences about it.

VII. Контроль знаний по теме.
Teacher: Now, test yourself. Let us see how well you know the UK. Do the test.
