1. Warming up.
Teacher: Hello! I’m glad to see you. Do you like traveling? Where do you usually go? Have you ever been to Great Britain? Today we’ll have a chance to visit the most exciting places in the country the language of which we are studying – Great Britain. What have you already known about it?
Class: answer the teacher’s questions.
- What symbols of England do you know?
- What the most exciting places of Great Britain do you know?
- What is the capital of England?
Во время ответов учитель прикрепляет соответствующие картинки, подтверждающие ответы учащихся.
Class. Teacher asks questions:
- Now you will see seven most exciting places in Great Britain and read the information about them. Match the pictures and texts. Используется наглядность и описание к ней в программе Power Point.
- Class. Идет просмотр слайдов снова, учащиеся читают описание той фотографии, на которую указывает учитель на слайде
- Individual. Read the texts again and complete number 4 in the Great Britain fact file.
- Teacher: Children are divided into 3 groups (4 pupils in each group) and get cards with addresses. The task is to complete the cards with giving information.
- Pair work. Work in pairs and ask what your partner would like to do in Great Britain.
- Individual work. Pupils do a test using computer and get marks.
- Home-task: To find interesting information and complete the card about Northern Ireland.
