1 m. – Good morning dear children. Today we are going to talk about the Internet. So our topic is ‘The Pros and Cons of using the Internet’. Lock-step  
3 m. – Do you use the Internet? If not, would you like to?
Which of these things do you (or would you like to) use the Internet for?
Read the statements and say.
(ex. 11 p. 107)
Individual work. Purposes:
  • to introduce the topic
  • to encourage spontaneous speaking
  • to practice vocabulary
4 m. – Read the list of points about the Internet advantages and mark them A (advantage) or D (disadvantage).
(ex. 12 p. 107)
Individual work. Purpose:
  • to use the text for expressing opinions
5 m. – Using the example act out short dialogues in pairs. Express your opinion.

Pair Purpose:
  • to teach expressing own opinion
5 m. – Read the article and fill in the gaps with words and phrases from the list.
(ex. 13 a p. 107)
Individual work. Purpose:
  • use of English
3 m. – Listen and check your answers.

Lock-step Purpose:
  • to practice listening for specific purpose: checking the right answers
4 m. – Read the article again and answer the questions, then explain the words in bold.
