Художественный аутентичный фильм является одним из самых привлекательных и эффективных средств формирования коммуникативной и социокультурной компетенции на уроках иностранного языка на этапе совершенствования навыков. Фильм “Побеждая Лондон” известного режиссера Нейла Стайнберга с участием популярных сестер Эшли и Мэри - Кейт Олсен снят в Великобритании. Зрители следят за ходом развития сюжета и в то же время знакомятся с достопримечательностями столицы Великобритании. Просмотр фильма также позволяет сравнивать варианты английского языка (классический Британский вариант с западным диалектом Кокни и с его Американским эквивалентом). Тематика предлагаемого фильма входит в круг интересов современной российской молодежи: сестры – близнецы Хлоя и Райли приезжают в Лондон на международный конкурс “ Модель Объединенных Наций”. Здесь их ждут новые друзья, множество приключений и знакомство с достопримечательностями столицы Великобритании.
