КАТЕГОРИЯ ОБУЧАЮЩИХСЯ: учащиеся 9 класса, средний уровень владения языка.
ЦЕЛЬ УРОКА:
Обучающая:
Научить учащихся выражать свое мнение по
проблемам окружающей среды.
Развивающая:
- Привить интерес к изучению окружающей среды.
- Расширить кругозор, повысить интерес к изучению английского языка.
Воспитательная:
- Научить беречь ценности, данные природой.
- Научить создавать вокруг себя экологически безопасную обстановку.
- Развивать у учащихся активную жизненную позицию, вырабатывать желание не быть равнодушными к окружающей нас действительности.
ОБОРУДОВАНИЕ И МАТЕРИАЛЫ: компьютер и мультимедийный проектор, доска, мультемедийные презентации, раздаточные материалы, материалы Интернет сайта www. earthsite.org .
ОЖИДАЕМЫЕ РЕЗУЛЬТАТЫ: ученики напишут статью в журнал по проблемам окружающей среды: выразят в ней свое отношение к сложившейся ситуации и предложат свои способы решения проблемы.

1.Вопросно-ответная работа. Teacher: Here are some planets that travel around the sun. -What are they? (презентация “Еarth Day”,слайд2 ) Together with the Sun they make up our solar system. Have a look at the picture. -How far is the Earth from the Sun?
2.Выполнение упражнения. Teacher: Here is a birth certificate of the Earth, but some information is missed. Fill in the gaps with suitable words.

T: Right you are. It was he who created Nobel prizes by his will. These prizes are given in different fields of science. People and organizations are recipients of the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for their humanitarian work in peace movements including human rights, mediation of international conflicts and arms control and disarmament. They have been awarded to a variety of people for a variety of reasons since 1901.

VIII. Подведение итогов урока Teacher: Earth Day is a great way to remind us to think about what we are doing to live in peace and keep the oceans, forests and deserts safe. Thanks to Earth Day, you will probably learn more about wilderness and protecting the environment than I ever did at your age. With your knowledge and support, the world will have clean air and water, healthy fish and wildlife, and beautiful places to visit forever.
IX. Домашнее задание An international environmental magazine is investigating the question: Pollution levels are increasing at an alarming rate. Why is this and what can be done? Write an article for this magazine (120-180 words).
