Цель: Систематизация и контроль знаний по теме “Повторение”.

Задачи:

1.Формирование потребности к самостоятельному труду;
2.Развитие способности к репродуктивным и продуктивным речевым действиям;
3. Контроль умения учащихся самостоятельно оценивать себя в разных видах речевой деятельности.

Методы:

Словесные: беседа, проблемная ситуация.

Наглядно-демонстрационные: использование презентации Power Point, CD о Лондоне, использование раздаточного материала.

Практические: выполнение теста.

Средства: ксерокопии, презентация Power Point, магнитофон, кассета, карточки.

Тип урока: обобщение и систематизация знаний.

Форма: урок с элементами аудирования.

Ход урока

    4. Let us read the poem. Давайте прочитаем стихотворение.

Упражнения.

I. 1. Students, you know a lot about Great Britain. Imagine that I am a reporter and ask you questions. You are to answer them. Look at the blackboard, take your cards and show me the right variant.

Учащиеся, вы знаете много о Великобритании. Представьте, что я журналист и задаю вам вопросы. Вы должны на них ответить. Смотрим на доску, взяли карточки и показываем правильный вариант A,B,C. (слайды).

2. Let us see the sightseeing. You are to answer the questions:

  1. What country is it?
  2. What city is it?
  3. What is it?
  4. What do you know about it?

Давайте посмотрим достопримечательности. Пока вы смотрите, продумывайте ответы на вопросы:

  1. Какая это страна?
  2. Какой город?
  3. Что это?
  4. Что вы знаете об этом? (CD о Лондоне)

II. Now we are going to visit another country.

1. Listen to the song and guess what country it is.

AUSTRALIA.

1. The Commonwealth of Australia is a self-governing federal state. It is situated in the southwest of the Pacific Ocean, occupying the continent of Australia and a great number of islands of which Tasmania is the most important.

2. The country consists of 6 (six) states and 2 (two) territories. 16 million people live in Australia. The capital is Canberra. The official language is English.

3. Australia has a Parliament, which has two chambers, the House of Representatives and the Senate. The Prime Minister heads the government of the country.

4. Australia is not only far from the rest of the world; it has a bad climate, too. The northern coast has too much rain, and the western coast is too dry.

5. The highest part of Australia, and almost all the mountains are near the coast. The whole central part of the country is dry; it never rains, there are no large rivers and no water there. So there is no very rich plant life in Australia, except in the east and southeast.

6. Australia is an important producer and exporter of products: wool, meat, sugar, fruit and so on.

7. Most of the factories are situated near big cities. There are 5 (five) big cities in Australia: Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. These cities are also the country's main ports.

8. Canberra was specially planned as a capital. It is a quiet city. All the government buildings are situated there. There are no industrial plants in the city. About 300 000 people live in Canberra.

3. You know, of course, that Australia is an island continent. And that is why there are a lot of interesting animals in Australia. Have a look at the grid. The names of some Australian animals are hidden here. You should find them.
