D “They run too fast,” answered the Farmer. “ I’ve been breeding them for all these years and never caught one yet.”

F A man was driving down the country road when something ran very fast across the road just in front of his car.
G “I don’t sell them, said the farmer. You can offer me as much money as you like but you still can’t have one.”
H The farmer showed no surprise. “Yes,” he said. “That was one of mine. I have been breeding them for about five years. You can get more money for four-legged chicken than for ones with two legs.”
I He stopped and suddenly realized that he’d nearly hit a four-legged chicken.
7th task Words, words, words…
Listen to a short humorous story and say what words the woman did not understand. Translate them into Russian. I know 6 words. And you? 2 points to the student who will say the 6th word.
One day Doctor Samuel Johnson, the famous author of the first English dictionary, was at a fish market with his friend. He said to him that he could make a woman who sold fish angry not saying even one bad word to her. Then he came up to one of the women, raised her fish to his nose and showed that it had a bad smell. The woman attacked him in words that I can not repeat here. The Doctor answered: “You are an article, woman.”
‘You are an article yourself,” she cried.
“You are a noun, woman!” Johnson continued.
“You are a pronoun.”
The old woman could not understand these words, so she shook her fist at him.
“You are a verb, “he continued, “an adverb, an adjective.”
These words made her very angry because she did not know them and did not know how to answer.
