Задачи:
- Научить учащихся оценивать те знания, которые они получили в течение изучения “юнита”, обучение обобщению изученного материала.
- Научить учащихся участвовать в презентации, оценивать свое выступление и других учеников, учить учащихся читать про себя и составлять обзор книги по прочитанному, расширение лексического запаса, развитие умения понимать иноязычную речь на слух;
- Развитие духа сотрудничества, творчества и независимости;
- Развитие навыка монологической и диалогической речи по теме “Книги”;
- Воспитание социально активной личности;
- Поощрять положительный настрой учащихся на самостоятельную работу;
- Воспитание умения внимательно слушать собеседника и вежливо реагировать на его реплики.
Оборудование: аудио запись учащихся о любимых книгах упр.1 с.22; лексические карточки-таблицы, “ классная библиотека”.
Активная лексика урока: adventure, detective, fairy tail, book review; boring, exciting, great, magic, silly; recommend.

T: Good morning, children. Today we are going to discuss the books you’ve read, why you like them. And then we’ll see books you wrote yourselves.
Warm-up
T: But first I think we’ll make your mark predictions. What mark are you going to get today? Say these marks aloud (учитель на доске заполняет таблицу). At the end of the lesson you can compare it with your actual result.

T: Now, children, let’s find out your tastes in reading. Will you interview each other, please? Ask your partners about the book types they like, and fill in the table. And then we’ll discuss it. I give you several minutes. You can move around the class. (Учащиеся заполняют таблицы)

T: Do you want to know what kind of books other children like to read? I advise you to open your books on page 22 and read exercise 1. You are going to listen to some children and say what kind of books they are talking about. In exercise 1 you can see 6 variants. What are they? Read them aloud one by one. But in your cards you have got numbers from one to five. So, there is 1 extra variant. Start listening. We’ll play the tape twice. Work individually.

T: Now we know your tastes and even other children’s tastes in reading. And, I think it’s time to go to the library. Who wants to be a librarian? Who wants to be a reader? (Учащиеся разыгрывают диалоги на основе предложенного на с. 15 упр.4)
T: Good for you! I see you can become good librarians and you are able to ask for a book in an English library. And can you make a book review?

T: Your homework was to make a book review about your favorite book. Would you like to read it? (Можно сделать обратную связь. Ученик 1 читает, остальные отвечают на вопросы учителя: “Обзор, какой книги был представлен? Назовите персонажей? и т.д.)

T: We were working hard. Much sitting, much reading is not good for your health. Let’s do our exercises. Stand up, please. Who wants to be a trainer? Danya, come to the front, please.

T: Children, you’ve already been librarians and readers, and book reviewers. Now, don’t you want to try the profession of a writer?
So, welcome to our Book Fair! Who is the first? You are welcome! And others, you are the jury. Listen and be ready to put questions to a writer.
(Учащиеся представляют свои собственные книги, работа над которыми велась в течение изучения юнита. Выступление идет по следующему плану: сначала учащийся представляет свою книгу и дает краткий обзор и по желанию задает вопросы другим учащимся; затем ученики берут интервью у “писателя”. В конце ученики оценивают выступление с помощью улыбающихся и грустных сердец, высказывают мнение о представленной книге.
