Objectives:

  1. To practice using the vocabulary of appearance;
  2. To practice reading and telling about fairy-tale characters;
  3. To talk about parts of the body.

Ход урока

1. Орг. момент

Good morning, children. I’m glad to see you. Sit down, please. Get ready for the lesson.

Tell me, please, what date it is today? Who is absent?

Today we are going to talk about appearance and parts of the body.

2. Фонетическая зарядка (совершенствование произношения звука [ ])

As usual we begin our lesson with practice your phonetic. Look at the blackboard. There is a new tongue twister:

Mary wears fair hair
It s late to tear your hair.

Listen and repeat it after me. Now, read it once again and try to say it without making a mistake.

Учитель предлагает детям выучить новую скороговорку. Учащие повторяют скороговорку за учителем, переводят и после нескольких минут подготовки стараются прочитать ее без ошибок. Затем учитель постепенно стирает по одному слову и дети воспроизводят скороговорку наизусть.

3. Речевая разминка (активизация лексических навыков)

Listen to your next task. There is a table on the blackboard. Complete the table using the words below:

Key words:

red, dark, oval, ears, fair, blue, small, nose, cheeks, square, brown, mouth, arm, long, big, black, grey, hand, fingers.

Учитель просит учеников заполнить таблицу, подобрать слова к нужной колонке используя слова, данные выше.

4. Развитие монологических умений

Now, let s speak about appearance. I ll give you different pictures, after five minutes you should describe the fairy-tale characters.

For example: This is Hobbit. He looks like a man. He has very big ears. His eyes are kind and cunning…….etc.

Учитель раздает детям картинки сказочных героев и просит детей описать свою картинку, используя лексику урока. (Приложение)

5. Развитие логического мышления, внимания и памяти.

Look at the blackboard. Your next task is find correct words which help you to describe the appearance.

На доске даны слова близкие по звучанию, но разные по написанию. Задача детей найти слова, которыми можно описать внешность.

6. Совершенствование орфографических навыков

There is a rebus on the blackboard. Your task is decode this word.

7. Развитие навыков аудирования

On your tables you have the texts. Now I will read this text, you should listen it very attentively and complete the gaps. Then we will check up your work.

У детей на столах лежат тексты с описанием внешности, в тексте много пропущенных слов по лексике данного урока. Учитель читает несколько раз текст, учащиеся слушают и заполняют пропуски.

After lunch she waters flowers and does her homework.

8. Aктивизация лексических навыков и умений.

Your next task is a project. You should do a crossword using these little pictures. You have glue, paper, and pencils. Use them. Work in pairs.

У учащихся на столе находятся альбомный лист, клей, карандаши и маленькие картинки по лексике урока. Детям предложено сделать кроссворд, используя вместо вопросов картинки.

9. Подведение итогов урока.
