Цели урока:

  1. Воспитывать чувство ответственности за свои поступки.
  2. Воспитывать любовь к природе.

Задачи урока:

  1. Практиковать в чтении.
  2. Ввести и тренировать в употреблении модальных глаголов must, mustn’t, have to, be not allowed to.
  3. Создать мини-проект “ Национальные парки нашей страны”.

Оснащение: “Matrix” Colin Campbell, Kathy Gude and Michael Duckworth, учебник и рабочая тетрадь, ТСО, Видеофильм “Проблемы экологии” сессия СЕ, карта Африки, экран, диапроектор, компьютеры, карточки со словами, слайды, тестовая оболочка Test “модальные глаголы”, “Oxford genu” – электронный словарь, CD-Rom inside, классная доска, картинки с изображениями животных, растений, зоопарков, парков, Красная книга, использование ресурсов Интернет, CD-Rom Encyclopedia Britannica 2006.

ХОД УРОКА

I. Организационный момент.

T: Hello,everybody ! I’m glad to see you. Take your seats, please!

There are pictures, books about animals, trees, a map of Africa, posters on the table. You have asked some questions about them. I want you guess the theme of our lesson.

Ученики дают свои варианты.

T: Yes, you are right. We are talking about environmental problems, about nature.

II. Warming up.

На экране появляется карта Южной Америки, данные о государстве (из Энциклопедии Британика). Приложение № 1 (слайд 1).

T: I give you 5 minutes to prepare a few questions about South Africa. Work in pairs, please.

T: Ask other pairs your questions.

III. Обучение чтению.

1. T: Look at the screen, please.

На экране появляются слайды: заглавие текста South Africa: the Kruger National Park, растительный и животный мир, животные. Приложение № 1 (слайды 2, 3, 4).

2. T: Open your books, p.62,ex.1. Приложение № 2.

Read the text and answer the questions.

  1. What happened to the Makuleke people in 1969?
  2. What is the meaning of the word 'apartheid?
  3. Why were animals in danger at the end of the 19th century?
  4. In what ways has the park been successful?
  5. In what ways might the park be a dangerous place to visit?
  6. How will the Makuleke people benefit from the park?

T: I give you 8 minutes to do the exercise. You need to look up the answer to question 2 in a dictionary. (Самостоятельная работа обучающихся)

3. T: Check your answers in pairs.

4. T: Check your answers with the class.

Possible answers:

  1. The South African government moved all their villages.
  2. Laws in South Africa that used to separate people of different colours and races.
  3. Because the Boers and the British were killing them.
  4. The number of animals has increased including endangered species; it has attracted million of visitors.
  5. There are a large number of wild animals, including herds of elephants, lions, cheetahs and leopards.
  6. They will have the right to manage their land, they will make money from visitors to the game lodges and museum and they will be able to visit their ancestors' graves.

5. Словарная работа.

T: Work in pairs and make a list of animals, plants and geographical features that are found in Africa but not in Europe. Report to the class.

IV. Развитие навыков устной речи.

T: Look at ex.2. Talking about your country.

  1. What national parks do you have in your country?
  2. What can people do when they visit national parks?
  3. What sorts of developments are not allowed in national parks?
  4. What zoos or safari parks do you have?
  5. Do you think it is right to keep wild animals in zoos or safari parks? Why? Why not?

T: Search the Internet for websites for national parks in our country. Report back to the class.

Работа организуется в группах. С помощью материалов из интернета (сайты: http:zapoved.ru, http: // www.nkama.my1.ru) готовятся мини-проекты о национальных парках России и Республики Татарстан. Это могут быть выступления о Дарвинском, Байкальском,

Нижнекамском парках или о Мещере.

V. Введение грамматического материала.

1. T: Look at the screen and read, please.

На экране – слайд “Модальные глаголы” (Приложение № 1, слайд 5).

T: If you want to answer your questions look at page 137 and study the rules.

Дети самостоятельно изучают грамматический материал по справочнику.

2. T: Now, find ex.3. Look at these sentences about the text and complete the rules with must, mustn't, have to or be not allowed to. Do the exercise in pairs.

“You must go and see the Kruger National Park. It's beautiful”. The park rules say you have to stay on the main roads.

Obligation and recommendation

  1. We use _______ to talk about an obligation that is a rule or a law.

1. T: Look at ex.4.

Дети самостоятельно выполняют задания A и B.

A. An English speaking friend is coming to your country for the first time, and is going to stay for a week. First, complete these lists with your main suggestions. Follow the example.

2. T: Do B. In pairs, tell your partner your ideas, using must and mustn’t, giving reasons for your advice if possible.

Работа идет по образцу: You must see Niznekamsk - it's a very beautiful city. You mustn't miss the National Park. It's very interesting.

3. T: Open your workbooks, p.29, ex.11. Read this information about the Sky Walk, which consists of bridges and paths over the jungle. Complete the rules with have to or be not allowed to.

Visitors to the Sky Walk 1------ follow some simple rules.

All visitors 2 ______ stay on the paths and bridges at all times. You 3  ______ go into the jungle.

You 4  ______ walk slowly and carefully across the bridges so that you don’t disturb other walkers or the animals below you. You 5  ______ run on the paths or bridges.
