E.S: Let's begin with Trafalgar Square. Trafalgar Square is the geographical centre of London. In the middle of the square we can see Nelson's Column. Four bronze lions, which are on the base of the monument, symbolize the four countries of the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Trafalgar Square is usually full of visitors.

E.S: Piccadilly Circus is an important meeting point - for as well as sightseers. At its heart there is a bronze fountain topped with a figure of Eros, the pagan god of love, on the top.

R.S.: Are there many churches in London?

E.S.: Yes, there are. One of them is Westminster Abbey. Westminster Abbey is the symbol of England. It is a beautiful church. It has been the coronation place of all English kings and queens. Many famous people are buried in this church: Charles Dickens, Rudyard Kipling, Isaac Newton and others.

E.S: Londoners have a particular affection for St. Paul's Cathedral. It's the greatest work of the famous architect Sir Christopher Wren. It is a real masterpiece. Great Paul is the heaviest swinging bell in Britain. It weighs 17 tons and rings daily for five minutes at 1 o'clock. There are many wonderful paintings, sculptures and monuments in the cathedral.
