Цель: развитие способности к межкультурному общению и использование языка как инструмента этого общения.

Задачи:

  • Ориентирование учащихся в мире современных профессий, а именно ознакомление со спецификой деятельности тур. агентов, рекламодателей, гидов-переводчиков.
  • Развитие монологической и диалогической речи, употребления лексики по теме ”Путешествие”, а также развитие творческих способностей учащихся.
  • Поддержание мотивации учащихся к данному курсу,
  • Воспитание чувства патриотизма, коллективизма, активности.

Оборудование: мультимедиа проектор, картинки и фотографии с видами США, России, Башкирии, Куюргазинского района; компактный диск “Английский – путь к совершенству”, флажки, проекты, визитки, бейджики, приготовленные учащимися, карты и постер с изображением эмблемы “турагенства”.

ХОД ЗАНЯТИЯ

I. Приветствие. Greeting

Teaсher: Dear guests! Welcome to our Tour Agency “Sunshine”! My name is Zulfiya Jusupovna. I am a manager of our tour agency and these are my agents. Meet them.

(Учащиеся представляются).

Our tour agents have prepared some information about the USA, Russia, Bashkortostan and our region . Today they are going to try themselves in a part of a tour guide, promoter and a tourist.
They worked hard to show you the value, beauty and peculiarities of the countries.
Look! This is our emblem. The sun rays and the rays which have the colour of the flag of Bashkortostan symbolize the roads, going towards to different sides of the world.
Our motto is “May there always be sunshine!”
We are inviting you to go on traveling.

II. Развитие монологической речи. Introduction

Teacher: And now let’s listen about the USA, its geographical position

(На экране проецируются виды США, звучит американская музыка).

P1:

Oh, beautiful for spacious skies
For amber waves of grain
For purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain
America, America!
God shed his grace on thee
And Crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.

P2: The USA is a higly developed industrial and agricultural country.
It strawls from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. Mountains, forests, plaines,and prairies, wonderful lakes, waterfalls and rivers cover the American territory.
It has quiet villages and cities that never sleep. It is famous of its bright presidents, actors, inventors and scientists. It is a large nation.

P3: The USA consists of 50 states. Each of them has several unofficial names and nicknames which describe nature, geography, history, the way of life and traditions of the state (показывает по карте).

Alaska is the Great land.
Arisona is Grand Canon State
California is the Golden State.
Florida is the Sunshine State.
Georgia is the Peach State
Illinois is the Praire State
Iova is the Howlaker State
New York is the Empire state….

P4: The capital of the USA is Washington. There are 50 stars on the American flag, one for each state. The thirteen stripes represent the original 13 states.

Teacher. Thank you for your interesting presentation of the country. What can you tell us about Russia?

P2: Russia is on two continents of Europe and Asia. It is the largest country in the world . Russia has a population of 147 million people. Almost four times as many people live in cities as in villages etc.

P3: Russia has a wide range of scenery and climates. It has cold, sometimes harsh winters with lots of snow, but the summers are quite warm.

P4: Russian people are not always a Slavic type. They do not always have blue eyes and fair hair. Мany people of different nations live in Russia. Russian people are all different. But together they built a strong country – The Russian Federation with the capital Moscow, which is the heart of Russia.

Teacher. Thank you for this unusual review of our country. You know, that Russia stretches from the Baltic Sea in the West to the Pacific Ocean in the East and from the Northern Arctic Ocean to the deserts of Central Asia. And in a such large country there is a beautiful Republic, our homeland Bashkortostan.

P1: The Republic of Bashkortostan is in the south Ural Mountains. The capital city is Ufa. Other large cities in the republic include Sterlitamak, Salavat, Neftekamsk, Kumertau and others.

P2: The population of Bashkortostan is just over 4 million. One third of the people living in Bashkortostan are Bashkirs, Russians, Chuvash, Tatars, Udmurts, Mari, and others also live in the republic

P3: Russian is the official language of Bashkortostan. The Bashkir language is the second language in the Republic. Bashkortostan is one of the largest agricultural regions in Russia. It also has many growing industries. The Republic produces oil, gas, copper and iron.

P1: The national flag of the Republic of Bashkortostan is a symbol of its state sovereignty. The kurai flower is a symbol of friendship. Mustai Karim once compared the republic to a leaf on a birch tree which he called RUSSIA. Alien winds and fires have tried to tear it from the tree more than once.

But the leaf grew on upon the tree
It fed on its mother’s milk.
On the land of the free.

Teacher. Thanks a lot. Well, thousands of people visit different countries, cities and towns, picturesc countryside. Being on a holiday, people come to see the sights, to study or to work. Very soon people will take vacations.
What place will you advice them to visit? What can people do there?
Imagine that you are promoters. I’ve asked you to prepare the projects at home.
Make the advertisements of the places you’d like the tourists to visit.
But first let’s learn some new words and expressions which you may use in your advertisements.

Group 1

P2: In New York you can see the statue of Liberty. Visit museums or go Carnegie Hall, one of the best Concert Halls in the world.
In Washington D.C. you will tour the White House. For History lovers, Washington has more than 300 memorials and statues.

P3: Our next stop is beautiful Chicago. You will see the tallest building in the world, the Sears Tower. During the two day stay you can sample great theatre, music and dance.

P4: Visit Las Vegas! “The Strip” – a collection of luxury hotels and casinos for fantastic entertainment. The last stop of our tour is one of the countries cosmopolitan cities San-Francisco, which is full of amazing sights. You will also eat out in colorful Chinatown.

P1: We invite you to the heart of Russia Moscow. Prince Yuri Dolgoruki founded it in 1147. In Moscow you will see The Red Square, the Kremlin, the most famous buildings the Spasskaya Tower, the State history museum, St. Basil’s Cathedral, and different amazing theatres, galleries, Concert Halls, circuses and others.

P2: Would you like to see beautiful sculptures made of ice and snow? Then, welcome to Novosibirsk, the Snow Kingdom! Come and experience a real snow kingdom.

P3: Your traveling will be unforgettable if you visit one of the most beautiful cities St. Petersburg, which is on the river Neva. You will have an opportunity to visit fantastic museums, and galleries, to see architectural monuments. You’ll find much interesting about this wonderful city.

Group 3.

P1 Welcome to Ufa – the center of Bashkortostan’s culture and industry.
Don’t miss a line of streets filled with monuments, old elegant and new buildings, modern cafes and shops. An evening at the theatres or opera ballet, or a performance of classical music films in the cinema will be unforgettable experience for you. Take the tour along the River Belaya. Stay at beautiful hotel “Russia”, “Bashkortostan”. Ufa is waiting for you!

P2: We invite you to Kujurgazinski Region. It is a fascinating countryside. It is the perfect, blend of the traditional and modern. Here you will find a museum a club “The Youth, libraries, cosy shops.
Visit a beautiful historical park, where you can relax by the pond.
Be sure to try the national dishes, such as Uljush, chak-chak, kistibi at the cafe “Golden Kurai”. You are sure to have the time of your life here.

Teacher. Dear agents! The tourists may be very curiosity. Imagine that you are a tourist group. What questions would you ask about the advertisements.

Teacher. What do you think is the most comfortable way to travel?

Teacher. As a tour agent you may offer your tourists different means of transport, not only the trains, of course, but by plane, on cruise, and so on.

Teacher. OK, imagine that you have formed the tourist group.
Send a message on your mobile phone to your partner agent to meet your group .
For example:

V. Подведение итогов. Conclusion

Teacher. Our lesson is over. You’ve worked hard. Thank you for your excellent preparation for this lesson. You tried yourselves in the part of a tour agent, a promoter, a guide, a translator, a tourist. I see that you know much about the countries you’ve represented. I hope in future somebody of you will open a tour agency “Sunshine” in our settlement. May there always be sun shine! Everybody gets a certificate for your portfolio. Your homework is to write an article to our newspaper “Kujurgaza” about our tour agency”. Good luck everybody! Goodbye.
