Оборудование: магнитофон, кассета с чатханной музыкой, карта Аскизского района, раздаточный материал (тексты с заданиями для групп, вопросы для викторины), рисунки и фотографии наскальных рисунков.
Ход урока
- Оргмомент: цель и задачи урока: Now we are going to work in groups. Every group will have texts with tasks. Your main task is to give information about the museum and ask 2 questions on it and then you must retell the story in a way to be understood by others.

The Katanov’s museum.
The Askiz museum was named after Nikolai Fyodorovich Katanov, the first khakas scientist. At the sources of foundation of the museum in Askiz was S.N.Sultrekov, the teacher of geography of the Askiz secondary school. He studied and collected the materials about the 309th Piryatin division, about participants of the Great Patriotic War. He also collected the materials about the relatives of the famous son of Khakasia N.F.Katanov, about his childhood and youth in Askiz. N.F.Katanov’s relatives, the teachers, the pupils, the inhabitants of our district helped the museum.
The museum was opened on the 28th of September in 1987. The first director of the museum was N.I.Medvedev, the teacher of history. After his death his wife K.I.Medvedeva continued the work of developing of the museum.
Later the directors of the museum were A.S.Topoeva, A.A.Burnakov and Kurbizhekova Elena Vasilyevna. The museum has the materials about history, culture, education, medicine and sport in our district. There are also the materials about the developing of industry and agriculture in our district. The visitors can learn more about the life of our people, about the traditions, and customs of the khakas people in ancient time and today.
The museum is situated in the centre of Askiz. It occupies 2storied building, which was build in the middle of the 19th century. It was the residence of the owner of a gold- miner Iavanovich Kuznetsov.

The museum-reserve “Kazanovka”.
The museum-reserve “Kazanovka” was opened in 1996. It is an open- air museum. It is situated in district Askiz near the village of Kazanovka. The museum-reserve occupies the territory of 18400 hectares. Its boundaries are the villagers Kazanovka, Verkh-Askiz, Verkh-Baza, Jugachi and Beyka.
It is hard to believe, but you see the rock drawings that are more than 3-5 thousand years old. There are many mysterious vertical stones, burial-mounds, stone statues, standing upon the earth of the museum. There are more than 1500 ancient rock drawings made in the technique of engraving and beating. Studying them we learn how the ancient people lived. At the museum-reserve “Kazanovka” there are the monuments of Tagar, Okunev, Afanasyev and Tashtyk cultures, each with specific features of its own. At the territory of the museum-reserve were found the traces of ancient irrigation canals.
Today there are 2163 archeological monuments in the museum-reserve “Kazanovka”. The scientists of the museum do the archeological prospects and excavations. They find from 20 to 40 new monuments every year.

The Poltakov museum.
One of the museums of the district is the museum of rock drawings in the village of Poltakovo. It was opened on the 26th of September in 2003. it is a very original museum complex. It has 93 stone plates, on which there are more than 1000 drawings. The museum complex is a high burial-mounded hill. And there are alleys of rock drawings around it. A wonderful view of far mountain tops and beautiful steppe is open from the hill.
On the mountains of rock drawings there is the great legacy of the people for whom each drawing was the work of mind and heart. It was their hope and prays, their condition of life.
The Poltakov museum is the most rational way to preserve the monuments of rock drawings in our days. In 2004 the director of Hermitage Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovski visited the museum of rock drawings in Poltakovo. He was very interested in petroglyphs and said that they must be studied scientifically.

The Ankhakov museum.
It is called “Улуг Хуртуях Тас” near the village Ankhakovo. It is the unique museum of only one stone. The main monument is the stone statue “Улуг Хуртуях Тас”. That means the big stone old woman. It is called so, because it reminds the old woman. The height of the monument is little more than 3 meters, the weight is 1680 kg. This stone is still very popular among the women who wish to give birth to a child. They worship it, bring gifts and pray.
The famous trail-blaser Daniil Gotlib Messershmidt described this stone sculpture even in 1721. From 1954 to 2003 this stone statue was at the Khakas regional museum in Abakan. So the big stone statue, the object of worship, was returned to its place near the village of Ankhakovo.
