“THE SIGHTSEEING’S OF LONDON”

Цель: ознакомить детей с достопримечательностями Лондона, ввести новый страноведческий материал, создать условия для коммуникативной деятельности.

Задачи:

  • Образовательная: отрабатывать фонетические навыки на конкретном примере, отрабатывать навыки чтения, беспереводного понимания текста и предложений о Казани и Лондоне.
  • Развивающая: развивать умение применения полученных ЗУН в конкретной обстановке, развить навыки устной речи, развить творческую активность детей.
  • Воспитательная: способствовать расширению знаний учащихся о Лондоне, воспитывать патриотическую гордость у учащихся к столицам Татарстана и России.

Тип урока: итоговый по теме “Достопримечательности Лондона”

Форма урока: урок-путешествие

Оборудование: магнитофон, компьютер (презентация Microsoft Power Point).

I. Организационный момент

- Good morning, children! Glad to see you again.

Today we are going to speak about the sightseeing’s of London. Of course, you know that London is a capital of Great Britain. First of all, pay attention to the screen and I think you recognize these pictures.

TRAFALGAR SQUARE is a very famous square on New Year’s Eve people gather to celebrate. At midnight people jump into the fountains fully clothed and enjoy them. In the middle of the square there is a very famous statue “Nelson’s Column” which is over 170 feet high. The statue on the top is in memory of Lord Horatio Nelson who won the most famous sea battle at Trafalgar. This column is cleaned once every seven years. Trafalgar Square has became famous as a rallying point for all kinds of demonstrations, marches and political meetings.

THE TOWER OF LONDON is a very old building- nine hundred years old! In the early days of England the English kings lived in the Tower. Then it was a prison where many people died. It has a long and cruel history. It is not just one building. The tall building is the White Tower, the oldest part of the Tower of London. The Bloody Tower is near the river. It has a history of blood- the blood of men, women and even children. Now the Tower of London is a museum and many tourists from other countries come to see it.
