Цели:

  1. воспитательные: укрепление интереса к предмету, воспитание уважительного отношения к зарубежной культуре, более глубокое осознание русской культуры, расширение кругозора, эрудиции учащихся, эстетическое и валеологическое воспитание;
  2. развивающие: организация учебного процесса как речемыслительного поиска, развитие творческой деятельности, памяти, языковой догадки, воображения, способности логически излагать, работать в группах, парах, самостоятельно;
  3. образовательные: расширение словарного запаса, активизация употребления лексики в речи, тренировка в аудировании, говорении (диалогическая, монологическая речь), чтении с извлечением необходимой информации.

Оборудование:

  • магнитофон,
  • аудиокассеты,
  • пианино.

Наглядность: портреты композиторов, раздаточный материал: лексика, тексты на чтение, тестовые задания к тексту на аудирование.

Ход урока

(Звучит музыка Чайковского)

I. Начало урока. Организационный момент.

Teacher: Good morning, my dear friends. Good morning our guests. Welcome to our musical saloon. I want to start our meeting with these words of Shakespeare “If the music be a food of love play on”. As you see our meeting is dedicated to the classical music. And the topic of our conversation is…

(the pupils read: “This Wonderful World of Music”)

Teacher: How do you think what are the aims of our conversation? What shall we speak about?

P1: We’ll speak about music, musicians and composers.

P2: May be we’ll read a text and do some tasks.

P3: I think we’ll listen to the text and do some tests.

P4: I would like to prepare dialogues about music, composers but firstly we should repeat the words.

P5: I suppose we shall listen to the music.

Teacher: Very well, you are right. But how do you prefer to work today? In groups, in pairs or individually?

Pupils: we want to work in groups.

Teacher: OK. You’ll do some tasks individually and in groups. But first of all we shall repeat the words from the previous lessons.

II. Фонетическая отработка лексики:

Pop music, rock music, folk music, classic music, country music, dance music, juss; appeals to, transforms, inspires; romantic, catchy, soft, sweet, sentimental, amazing, eloquent, fascinating, torchy, unforgettable, appealing, sensational.

III. The conversation about music and its influence on the people.

Teacher: A famous American poet Henry Longfello said: “Music is the universal language of the world”. Do you agree with this statement? How do you think what does it mean? You may work in groups.

(Группы обсуждают и высказывают свое мнение о музыке)

Teacher: Thank you, so we came to conclusion that music is really the universal language of the world. I am sure that people can’t live without music. Music plays an important role in our life.

But I have some more questions to you (you may discuss them in groups)

Questions:

  1. Why do people like music?
  2. What sort of music do you like?
  3. How does music help people in life?
  4. How does music influence our lives?

(Устные высказывания о музыке)

IV. Здоровьесберегающая пауза.

Teacher: I agree with you. You have said that music helps people to relax, to have a rest, to be in a good mood. But I want to attract your attention that psychologists recommend people listening to the quiet soft classical music, when they are tired, or if they simply want to sit quietly and relax. So, I suggest you listening to the music may be it’ll help you to relax.

(Звучит музыка Чайковского “Времена года. Апрель”)

V. Conversation about famous composers.

Teacher: Lovely music, isn’t it? Try to guess whocomposed this music/ ask me questions about the composer.

Pupils: Is he a Russian composer?

Did he write operas?

Did he write ballets?

Pupil: I think, he is Chaikovskiy.

Teacher: Yes, you are right. But what do you know about Chaikovskiy?

(pupil tells about Chaikovskiy)

Teacher: Can we say that Russia is a great musical country?

Pupil: Yes we can.

Teacher: What other famous Russian composers do you know?

Pupils: Glinka, Rakhmaninov, Borodin, Mussorgskiy, Rimskiy-Korsacov.

Teacher: Good for. All these men were the famous Russian composers. In Russia the only great musical country in the world?

Pupils: No, it isn’t. Austria, Germany, Italy, France are great musical countries.

Teacher: Very well. All these countries are the greatest musical countries the world. I wonder, who is favorite copmoser? And why do you like his music?

(Устные высказывания о композиторах и музыке)

Teacher: What musical instruments can you play?

Pupils answer the question (one by one)

VI. Dialogues about music.

Teacher: I see, now children I want you to prepare dialogues about music. (You’ll work in groups. I give you 2 minutes)

Pupils prepare the dialogues.

VII. Здоровьесберегающая пауза.

Teacher: I see, you are tired a little. You may sit freely and relax. Listen to the music.

(Звучит музыка Шуберта)

VIII. Аудирование текста.

Teacher: We have spoken about music and composers. Now you will listen to the text about a very talented English girl who is fond of music very much, and besides she is a very talented vidin player.

Teacher: Listen to the text and then do the text. Work in groups.

IX. Чтение текста о Моцарте.

Teacher: I want you to read the text about one more talented child who became an outstanding musician and composer, when he was only 8 years old. Can you guess who is he?

Pupil: I think he is Mozart.

Teacher: Yes, he is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Your task will be:

  1. to make up questions
  2. to make up true or false statements
  3. answer the questions and prepare a short retelling
  4. make up a plan of retelling.

(Учащиеся читают текст, готовят задания)

Teacher: Now, your time is up. You ask the questions, answer the questions and soon.

(Группы выполняют свои задания)

X. Hometask.

Teacher: Our lesson is coming to an end. We have spoken about the classical music, but besides classical music you are fond of pop music, juss, rap and so on. We shall speak about these styles of music at the next lesson.

So, your hometask will be:

  1. to tell about your favorite group
  2. to tell about your favorite pop star
  3. to tell about your favorite style of music.

Xi. Рефлексия.

Teacher: I asked two girls to play for you. They prepared music plays. While listening ti the music you may draw, write some phrases about this music or simply entitle these music plays.

(Девочки играют, ученики рисуют, пишут, придумывают названия для музыкальных пьес)

Teacher: Our lesson is over. You showed good knowledge in English and in classical music. Thank you very much. Good bye.
