Конспект урока по теме: "Животные" для учащихся 2-го класса школ с углубленным изучением английского языка (на основе стихотворения "Lost")

Цели урока:

1) отработать различные виды деятельности на уроке при работе над стихотворением;

2) развивать интеллектуальные и познавательные способности детей: внимание, память, логическое мышление, развивать творческие способности детей (драматизация);

3) продолжить отработку навыка понимать речь учителя и одноклассников на уроке, продолжить формирование способности и готовности общаться на английском языке и элементарной коммуникативной компетенции, заложить основы практического применения знания английского языка в жизненной ситуации, отработать навыка списывания текста, обучить составлению диалога на знакомом лексическом материале, но в новой учебной ситуации;

4) воспитать чувство сопереживания к окружающим ( в данном случае - потеря любимца), готовность помочь в беде (расклеивание написанных объявлений), воспитать интерес и любовь к животным и мотивировать детей к изучению английского языка через показ его практического применения в жизненной ситуации.

Оборудование:

- портрет девочки Polly;

- картинки с изображением ящерицы, змеи, кролика, черепахи;

- “объявление”, надпись “Police Station”;

- игрушечный снеговик, разноцветные снежки (из ваты), клейкие листочки бумаги для объявлений;

- стихотворение “Lost”.

Ход урока:

Teacher: Nice to meet you!

Children, you can see some teachers in our classroom. They teach English too. They work at our school. Today they are our guests. Let`s say “Hello!” to them.

Teacher: Well, children, I`m cold and you?

Why is it cold today?

What colour is winter?

Is winter a beautiful season?

Why do children like this wonderful season?

Teacher: Complete my sentence: In winter

Make my question longer: ….Do you like to ski…?

Teacher: I think our teachers like winter too. Ask them questions. Begin like this: I`m Ann. What`s your name? Can you ski? Etc.

Teacher: I know boys and girls have a lot of fun in winter. This toy snowman from Great Britain invites you to play: “Children, do you like to play snowballs? Let`s play them. The more snowballs you throw to the opposite side the better.”

Teacher: Winter is a cold season. When it is very cold children like to be at home and read books. What about you?

I think it is very nice when children read a lot. But if you want to read well you must know the ABC and the English sounds well.

Teacher: Now look at the blackboard, please. Read the words and show the pictures to illustrate them.

Now look at the blackboard and read the words with the sounds:

Now find rhyming twins and read them aloud.

Teacher: Children, do you like to read English or Russian books? Do you like to read stories, fairy tales or poems? You have got texts on your desks. Look at them (a poem “ Lost”).

It is a poem or a story?

Look at this picture. What is the poem about? Do you think the poem is about children? Why?

What is the title of the poem?

Do you want to know what animal is lost?

Do you want to know whose poem it is?

Look at this photo. This is Polly and it`s her poem. (см. приложение)

Now read the poem to yourselves and answer the questions (на доске):

  1. How many animals has Polly got?
  2. Which animal is lost?

Teacher: Think a little and name Polly`s animals in alphabetical order.

Now let`s read the poem together. Read after me, please.

I have a little turtle
Name of Myrtle.
I have an extra lizard
Name of Wizard.
I have two kinds of snake:
Bill and Blake.
I have a dandy hutch
Without the rabbit.
If you see any such
Will you please grab it?

Teacher: Who wants to read the poem?

Teacher: I think it`s time to relax.

Hands up, hands down,
Stamp your feet,
Sit down.
Hands up, hands down,
Snap your fingers,
Sit down.

Teacher: Now you know the poem, don’t you?

Answer my questions, please:

Who has got 5 animals?

What is Myrtle? Is it a snake? What animal is it?

What are the names of the snakes?

Can Polly see the rabbit in the hutch?

So, what animal is lost? Do you know his name?

What is the poem about?

What animal from the poem can`t you see in the picture?

Teacher: Children! Is Polly happy? Do you want to help her? Look at the blackboard. Here is Polly`s ads. Let`s copy it and put the advertisements everywhere.

A rabbit is lost. It`s big and grey. If you see it, call me, please.

Polly.

Teacher: Well done, children!

But I think the police can help Polly too. Imagine you are in a police station. (В углу класса стол с табличкой “Police Station”)

Let`s role play the dialogue between a policeman and Polly`s friend. Who would like to talk to the policeman to help Polly? Oh, I see. Anna wants to go to the police station. And who wants to be a very good policemen? OК, Misha wants to be a policeman.

Teacher: Now think a little and say what you would tell the policeman.

-Polly`s friend Anna: Good morning, sir. My name is Anna.

-Policeman: Glad to see you Anna. What`s the matter? Can I help you?

-Anna: Sir, I`ve got a friend. Her name is Polly. She has got a problem. Her rabbit is lost.

-Policemen: Oh, don’t worry! I can help Polly. What colour is her rabbit?

Is it big?

Can it run well?

What is Polly`s telephohe number?

-Anna: 274519

- Policemen: OК. If I see her rabbit, I`ll call.

-Anna: Thank you very much, sir. You are so kind! Good bye!

- Policemen: Good bye, Anna.

Teacher: Well, children, you are very good friends. You`ve helped Polly a lot. I think she will find her rabbit soon, don’t worry!

Teacher: Понравился вам урок? Давайте вспомним, что мы делали на уроке, чему вы научились и что сможете сделать самостоятельно.

Teacher: Thank you for your work, my dear! You have worked hard so you get very good marks. And at home, please, draw the animal from the poem you can`t see in the picture.

Good bye, the lesson is over, you may go.
