- формирование способности к сотрудничеству и взаимопомощи при работе в паре и группе.

- совершенствование грамматических навыков говорения (структура разделительного вопроса);
- совершенствование навыков чтения и аудирования с общим охватом содержания и детальным пониманием.
ХОД УРОКА
I. Организационный момент и вступительные слова
Т. How do you do boys and girls. I am glad to see you. Dear friends!
I am sure you know that it is very important for us to be well mannered, to know how to
behaive properly.
We should be polite. If a person is polite, he or she is very pleasant for other people.
This person has many friends, it is a pleasure to communicate with him. And this is the
theme of our lesson.
Now, look at the blackboard. There are proverbs on it. Let’s read them and find Russian
equivalents.
II. Фонетическая зарядка
На доске написаны пословицы и их русские эквиваленты. Ученики читают пословицы вслед за учителем, затем самостоятельно ищут соответствие русских и английских пословиц.

Учитель проговаривает пословицы, ученики повторяют за ним хором. Несколько учеников по очереди прочитывают английские пословицы.
III. Развитие навыков диалогической речи
T. Do you know how to speak politely? What can we say to make our speech more polite? Listen to our friends.
Два участника рассказывают диалог без разделительных вопросов (домашнее задание)
– It’s a beautiful day today (isn’t it?)
– Right! But it is a little bit stuffy. I don’t like summer, because it’s too stuffy
and too hot.
– But you feel well today (don’t you?).You look wonderful.
– Oh, no! Not really! It’s my new sweater that makes me look well.
– The sweater is beautiful, that’s fine. I like it very much. Though… I am afraid it
is not the right weather for wearing a sweater (is it?)
– Yes, but it is so nice that I can’t wait until the weather changes.
T. Well, this dialogue is good, but what can we do to make it sound more friendly?

T. So, if you want to sound more friendly, use tags. We can put them at the end of a sentence. Now look at the blackboard and make tag – questions of these sentences.

5. He is not your friend.
6. She has no sister or brother.
7. Moscow is big city.

IV. Ролевая игра
T. Good for you. I see you know how to make a sentence sound polite.
Everyday wants to be polite and behave well, but not everybody knows how to do it.
Miss Manners will help our guests to behave properly. Meet Miss Manners!
Выходит мисс Манеры, здоровается, потом выходят два ученика, садятся за стол и ведут себя неправильно: кладут локти на стол, машут вилками, говорят с “полным ” ртом. Мисс Манеры учит их правилам поведения за столом. Читает правила, написанные на плакате.
– Don’t put your elbows on the table.
– Don’t wave the knife in the air.
– Don’t reach across the table.
– Don’t speak with your mouth full.
– Don’t lift a soup-bowl to your mouth.
– Don’t eat noisily.
– Put the table napkin on your knees.
– Use the fork and the knife properly.
Гости садятся за стол и ведут себя правильно.
– Now I see you are well-mannered. Thank you, artists. But I’d like to ask some questions to the others.
Мисс Манеры обращается к учащимся и задает им вопросы:
– You don’t put your elbows on the fable, do you?
– No, I don’t.
– You wave the knife in the air, don’t you?
– No, I don’t.
– You don’t reach across the fable, do you?
– No, I don’t.
– You speak with your mouth full, do you?
– No, I don’t.
– You don’t eat noisily, do you?
– No, I don’t.
– You put the napkin on your knees; don’t you?

V. Чтение
T. Table manners are almost common for Russian and English people, but there are some things which are not usual for the British. Let’s read Ex.4 on page 88 and see what is usual or unusual for Britain. There are some words on the blackboard. Let’s read them.
На доске написаны слова и транскрипция. Учитель читает слова, дети повторяют хором, потом индивидуально и говорят перевод. Читают и обсуждают текст, говорят, что типично, а что нет для Британцев.

VI. Аудирование
T. We know that some people are really polite, some only think that
they are polite. “Let’s listen to a story about a boy and decide if he is really
well-mannered or not”.
“One morning a London boy was sitting in the bus on his way to school. He was sniffing
all the time and making such a noise with his nose that the other people in the bus began
to shake their heads. At last an old man who was sitting next to him said: “Little boy,
have you got a handkerchief?”
“Yes, I have a clean handkerchief in my porket,” said the boy.“But I can’t give it
to you. Mother said it is not polite to ask anybody for a handkerchief. You must have and
use your own.”
T. Now answer my questions please.
1. Where was the boy going?
2. Why did other people in the bus begin to shake their heads?
3. Did the boy have a clean handkerchief in his porket?
4. Do you think the boy is well-mannered or not?
VII. Тест. “Are you polite?”
Учитель раздает листочки с написанными вопросами. К каждому вопросу даны два ответа. Дети самостоятельно выбирают правильный ответ. После этого учитель пишет на доске правильные ответы; 1а, 2в, 3а, 4а.

2. What would you do if a person sneeze in your presence?
a. You say “Be healthy”.

T. There are right answers on the blackboard. Count your score. You get 2 points for each correct answer.
- If you have 8 points, you are well-mannered.
- If you have 6 points, you sometimes break the rules.
- If you have 4 points you should pay attention to your manners.
