Цели урока:
- обобщить лексический и грамматический материал, изученный в шестом цикле по теме “New York city”, “Joey’s stamp collection”, косвенная речь и согласование времен;
- продемонстрировать владение учебным материалом, умение учащихся использовать его в новых ситуациях;
- развивать аудитивные навыки;
- повысить интерес к изучению английского языка.

I. Coобщение темы урока
Teacher: Hello. Nice to meet you. The theme of our lesson is “My hobby is stamp collecting”. First let’s revise the vocabulary. Add some words for each category.

V. Контроль навыков аудирования
Teacher: Would you like to know more about Joey and his stamp collection? Open your books at page 258. Let’s translate the following questions from English into Russian. Now listen to the cassette. Then answer the questions. You’ll have to answer in writing form.
После первого прослушивания диалога учащиеся отвечают письменно на вопросы. После второго представления диалога, они завершают выполнение задания. По желанию учителя, ученики могут работать в паре, сравнивая свои ответы. Если нет кассеты, учитель сам читает диалог вслух (страница 420).
Sasha: What is your hobby, Joey?
Joey: I have many hobbies, but my favorite is stamp collecting.
Sasha: Really? How old were you when you first started collecting stamps?
Joey: I was five. My father gave me my first packet of stamps and a stamp album on my birthday.
Sasha: Now you’re 14. So, you’ve been collecting stamps for 9 years already.
Joey: That’s right.
Sasha: How many have you collected altogether?
Joes: I have more than 500 stamps. By the time I’m 18 years old I will have collected at least 100 stamps.
Sasha: Do you collect only American stamps or stamps from all over the world?
Joes: I mainly collect American stamps; I have stamps from Japan, China, Russia and Great Britain. I collect stamps with animals, birds, space, travel and people. I have a Russian stamp with Yury Gagarin in my collection.
Sasha: Which is the oldest stamp in your collection?
Joey: Penny Black and Penny Blue. They are the first British postage stamps of 1840.
Teacher: Have you finished writing? Pass the sheets to the front, please. Don’t forget to put your names on them. Now let’s check orally.

VI. Рассказ гостя о своей коллекции
Teacher: Today at our lesson we have a guest. His name is Anton. He is your schoolmate. Anton was invited to our lesson. His hobby is stamp collecting. He wants to describe his stamps from his own collection.
Антон – ученик из параллельного класса. Так как его хобби – коллекционирование марок и у него прекрасная коллекция русских, иностранных марок о спорте, природе, животных, космонавтике, он был заранее приглашен на урок. Демонстрируя свою коллекцию, он рассказывает о марках. Это подготовленное домашнее задание гостя.

VIII. Грамматическое задание: переделать ответы гостя в косвенную речь
Teacher: I’d like you to be reporters. You’ll have to write
Anton’s answers changing them into Reported speech.
You should begin with:

Ученикам дается время записать ответы. Проверяются устно.
