Урок английского языка в 6-м классе по теме: "England, Scotland, Wales…"

Цели:

1. Развитие навыков чтения.
2. Совершенствование произносительных навыков.
3. Формирование навыков микровысказывания, используя структуру I’d like.
4. Развитие языковых способностей учащихся, готовности к коммуникации.
5. Поддержание интереса к учению.

Оборудование: Карта Великобритании, картинки с изображением достопримечательностей Великобритании ( Buckingham Palace, Eisteddfod, Big Ben, Stonehenge, Loch Ness, Caernarvon Castle, the Tower of London, the Giant’s Causeway, the Thames, Sherlock Holmes, a bagpipe, a man wearing a kilt, a red telephone box, a rose, shamrock, a thistle, a daffodil).

Ход урока.

I. Организационный момент и речевая зарядка.

• Good morning, girls and boys!
• Good morning, teacher!
• I’m glad to see you.
• We are glad to see you, too.
• How are you all today?
• Fine, thank you, and you?
• Very well, thank you. What’s the weather like today?
• It is rather cool. But it isn’t raining. It is sunny.
• I like it when it is clear, and you?
• I like it very much.

II. Сообщение целей урока.

• We are going to read interesting facts about the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to talk about places of interest in the UK and to study the map of the UK.

Ш. Тренировка навыков работы с картой и совершенствование произносительных навыков.

(На доске - карта Великобритании)

• Look at the map of the UK and find England. What is the capital of England? Show it!
• London is the capital of England.
• Which flower is the symbol of England?
• The rose is.
• And now find Scotland! The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh.
• The national symbol of Scotland is the thistle.

(Учитель показывает картинку с изображением чертополоха. Ученики проговаривают за учителем название цветка и географические названия.)

• There are four countries in the UK. The third country of the UK is Wales. The capital of Wales is Cardiff. The national symbol of Wales is the daffodil.

• The fourth country of the UK is Northern Ireland. The capital of Northern Ireland is Bel-

fast. The national symbol of Northern Ireland is the shamrock.

• Read the words all together after me.

Ученики читают написанные на доске географические названия и названия цветов за учителем.

• Read the words again one by one.

Ученики читают слова вслух по очереди.

• And now we do exercise 1, page 40. Copy the Fact File on Great Britain and write the names of the countries instead of the national symbols using the information from the map of the UK and the diagram of the UK population.

Ученики выполняют упражнение в тетрадях.

• Now we check the answers orally.

Ученики читают таблицу, обращается внимание на произношение.

IV. Тренировка навыков чтения.

• Now we’ll read some interesting facts about the UK and match the texts and the pictures. Two pictures are extra and one text has no match. We do exercise 2a, page 41.

Ученики читают тексты и выбирают картинки.

• What is not in the picture?
• Text I, Belfast.
• Which picture has no text?
• Picture of Big Ben, picture of a red telephone box.

V. Тренировка навыков устной речи, используя структуру I’d like…

• Now we ‘ll do exercise 3,page 41. We’ll express our wants(wishes).

In London I’d like to visit the Tower of London. What would you like to do in the UK?

Ученики работают в парах. Проверяется несколько диалогов.

VI. Подведение итогов урока.

• What did you learn at the lesson?

Выставляются оценки.
