- Воспитание толерантности и уважения к культуре и традициям других стран.
Задачи
- Дать информацию о праздновании Рождества в Британии.
- Тренировать учащихся в использовании новых лексических единиц в устной речи.
Оборудование:
магнитофон, аудиозаписи, распечатки текстов,
таблица (Word Web), сюжетные картинки, “подарки”,
рождественские украшения.

And all the traditions which are connected with New Year’s Day, are connected with Christmas as well. When do people celebrate Christmas in Russia? (on the 7th of January) What are the symbols of Christmas? What do people do on this day? But besides these traditions there are also some ones which are observed only in our country, Russia. Let’s add some phrases to our Word Web.
So let’s make up a story about Christmas in our country. One by one, sentence by sentence. |

| Christmas. Christmas is Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. For millions of Christians throughout the world it is the happiest and the busiest time of the year. No one knows the exact date of. Christ’s birth but most Christians celebrate Christmas on December 25. The Christmas story comes from the Bible. It tells us an interesting story of shepherds who were watching their sheep when an angel appeared to them. He told them that a Saviour had been born in Bethlehem. The shepherds went there to see Jesus. The baby Jesus was born in a stable. His mother was Virgin Mary and his father was Joseph. The Bible tell us how the Wise Men followed a star until it led them to Jesus. The Wise Men gave Jesus many gifts. Because of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Christians celebrate Christmas. |
