I. Answer the questions:

b) Which things, experiences, people make you happy?
c) Can you think of anything that would make you happier?
d) What one thing do you think most people say would make them happier?
(Most of us believe that money will make us happy.)
e) Do you think we are happier today than fifty years ago?
(Cornell University economist Robert Frank in his book “Luxury Fever” says while most people earn more and speak more than ever before, increased wealth has not made them happier. Fewer Americans said they were happy in 1990 than in 1960.)

VII. Get talking.
- Imagine that you are allowed to have some of the gifts for your birthday. Choose three gifts which you think are the most important or useful and three which are the least important or useful.
- Compare your choice with other people in your group and agree on the three most important gifts.

- Write a group list and then a class list.
So we can make a conclusion that money is not on the first place, therefore money is not the same as happiness.
