Цели:
- Познакомить учащихся со странами государства "Великобритания" в игровой форме, дать возможность обучающимся продемонстрировать результаты овладения материалом через проектную деятельность - составление страноведческой карты;
- Развивать умения и навыки практического владения английским языком по теме;
- Совершенствовать навыки аудирования и говорения.
Развивать УУД:
- Познавательные - структурировать полученную информацию, сделать осознанные высказывания о том, что изучил.
- Коммуникативные - умение взаимодействовать с членами коллектива.
- Регулятивные - саморегуляция, когда ученик может преодолевать возможные препятствия и разрешать конфликтные ситуации в коллективе или группе.

- презентация для опоры 4 выступающих старшеклассников, представляющих эмблемы, флаги, запись гимнов Англии, Шотландии, Уэльса, Северной Ирландии,
- контурные карты 4 стран,
- наклейки с изображением символов стран для работы в группах над проектом.

Постановка целей урока
- Мы познакомимся с 4 странами и создадим карту государства под названием Соединенное королевство Великобритании и Северной Ирландии.

- После нашего рассказа о странах вы разделитесь на группы. Каждой группе мы дадим одну страну - часть Соединенного королевства. А вы украсите свои карты столицами, флагами, символами и интересными достопримечательностями и портретами известных людей.
- В результате мы сложим такой интересный пазл из четырех стран, и эта карта поможет вам поближе познакомиться со странами, где говорят на английском языке.

England
England is the largest part of Great Britain. 51 million people live there. The national symbols of England are the red rose and the flag - St George's Cross. The capital of England is London. There are many other cities in England. Oxford and Cambridge are the university centres, Liverpool is the city of Beatles and Manchester - a football city. London is famous for Big Ben, London Eye and many other sights. When you visit England, I recommend you to see Stonehenge - a magic circle of huge (very-very-very big) stones. It is 5000 years old. I like reading English books. My favourite book is Harry Potter by Joan Rowling. I think you know the names of great people from England - Issak Newton, Charles Darvin, Charlie Chaplin. And what about food? English people like fish and chips, tea with milk and scones.
Scotland
Scotland is in the north of Great Britain. 5 million people live there. The national symbols of Scotland are the thistle and the flag - the St Andrew's Cross The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh. History lovers will enjoy a visit to Edinburg Castle. The other important cities are Glasgow- one of the oldest university cities and Aberdeen - a huge (very-very-very big) port and business centre. Scottish national clothes for men are kilts. A famous Scottish instrument is a bagpipe. Scotland has beautiful lakes. The most well-known is Loch Ness. They say that a monster lives there. They call it Nessy. I like reading Scottish books. My favourite book is Treasure Island by Robert Lewis Stevenson. I think you know the names of great people from Scotland: Robert Burns, Alexander Fleming, Alexander Graham Bell. And what about food? Scots like haggis and Dundee Cake.
Wales
Wales is in the west of Great Britain. 3 million people live there The flag of Wales has the Red Dragon. The national flower is the daffodil. St David is the patron saint. The capital of Wales is Сardiff. Sport lovers know Swansea - the city of football , rugby and cricket clubs. Wales is the country of mountains, Mount Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales. It's in Snowdonia National Park. History lovers can visit Caernarfon ['kenefon] Castle and Conwy Castle. I like reading Welsh books. My favourite book is Charli and Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. I think you know the names of great people from Wales: Tom Jones and Aaron Ramsey. And what about food? People in Wales like Wesh Rarebit - a toast with cheese and Welsh cakes.
Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland is on the island of Ireland. Over 1 million people live here. The national flag of Northern Ireland is called the St Patrick's Cross. The national flower is the shamrock. The capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast. Other famous places are Derry - the center of art and culture and Holywood - a small town of jazz. Tourists love visiting The Giant's Causeway - 40000 rock columns. The legend says - a giant Finn MacCool made this pathway. I like reading Irish books. My favourite book is The Chronicles of Narnia by Clive Staples Lewis. I think you know the names of great people from Northern Ireland : Liam Neeson (an actor ) and Thomas Andrews (an engineer who designed the "Titanic"). And what about food? People in Northern Ireland like Irish Fry - a huge (very-very-very big) breakfast and Ulster Irish Stew.
Ставим задачу для учащихся: - А теперь делимся на группы. Создадим свою карту. Вам нужно приклеить картинки на свою карту и рассказать по этой карте о стране, которую вы выбрали. У вас есть 10 минут на дружную эффективную работу, а мы вам поможем. Разыгрываем группы - вытягивайте названия стран и садитесь вместе вокруг карты.
(Для деления на группы можно использовать цифры от 1до 4, можно карточки с названиями стран, можно флаги)
Учащиеся работают в группах при помощи своего «куратора» и готовятся защитить свой проект - готовят по одному предложению по карте (старшеклассники помогают составить предложения).
Выходят в порядке презентации и выступают 2-3 минуты.
В конце урока - что понравилось, что запомнили, куда бы хотели съездить и почему.
