T: I am sure that every citizen of Korocha is proud of his or her native town. I am in love with my provincial town. Let’s speak about historic buildings of Korocha.
P:In Korocha, there is a wide range of historic buildings: The Historical Museum, The Church, The Town Library, Kromskoi Korochanskaya school and an old building of our hospital. They date back to the ancient time. These buildings are wonderfully kept. They have rural charm. They differ greatly from the other houses. These buildings create a feeling of harmony.
Our church is one of picturesque and art– architecturalbuilding of the 19 century. The bright church is like a fairy tale vision in the centre of Korocha. Its history goes back a long time. Town guests admire its beauty. There is a majestic iconostasis. Every morning we can hear the sound of the bells.
An attractive ancient building of the Town Library is situated in the center of our town. It is a classic house of the 19th century. It was named after N.S. Sohanskoi (Kohanovskoi).She was a famous writer. She wrote about Korocha. Our Library is the oldest library in our region.
TheHistoricalMuseum
This beautiful house was built by M.Goltsev in 19 century for his family. It was a merchant residence. In 1997 this building became theHistoricalMuseum. The HistoricalMuseum is one of the scientific and educational institutions where we can follow the life of citizens of Korocha. The Halls of the Museum show its visitors collections of documents, clothes, furniture. It is one of my favourite places. I like to visit our museum. It has interesting things in it
An old building of our hospital – The citizens and visitors of the town respond warmly about the architecture of this building. It differs from the other houses. It dated back to 19 century.
Kromskoi Korochanskay aschool.We study at Korochanskaya school. Our school was founded by D.K. Kromskoi more than 100 years ago. It was an all– girl gymnasium. We are proud of our school and its school–leavers. We like our school. We spend there a lot of time and we are happy that our school is a small part of Korocha. To conclude, I want to say that provincial towns like Korocha are the heart of Russia.

P4: Korocha is the town of my childhood. To begin with, Korocha was founded in 1637 as a fortress. Its history is bound up with the history of Russia. It is a quiet town surrounded by fields and woods. The countryside around the town is green with fertile fields and rich vegetation. Everybody likes its flowers in streets and parks. My home town was named the Second Crimea because it is famous for gardening. Through the town flows a river. There arelots of places to visit. The White Mountain. People often hike up to where you can see the magnificent sunset in the evenings. It is a wonderful place to go if one wants to ponder or meditate because of its beauty. No doubt, the White Mountain creates an incredible atmosphere to our town. Yasnii Kolodets is another special place in Korocha, it is known for its satisfying and pleasant water, where people often come to relax and retrieve its water.
P5: Speaking about educational institutions we have two secondary schools and a specialized boarding school. I study at. Kromskoi Korochanskaya school. Our school was founded by D.K. Kromskoi more than 100 years ago. It was an all girl gymnasium. We are proud of our school and its school-leavers. With the beauty of our ancient town and its historical monuments, its gilded domes of our cathedrals as well as its spectacular autumnal gold forests, all these wonders attract many people from all regions.
P6: There is a wonderful park in my town. Young and old people like to go therefor a walk .As for me, I like holidays. The most popular holiday for the citizen of Korocha, the Town’s Day, is celebrated in July. The town is usually decorated with lights, flags, flowers on that day. There are a lot of traditions connected with the holiday: concerts, exhibitions, competitions, fireworks.

Famous people
Our country is rich with talented people. Our small Korocha is not exception of this rule. There are a lot of talented people in Korocha. They are famous scientists: I.A. Dvigubskiy, a rector of Moscow University; A. B. Pogorelov, a professor of Maths; S.M. Mirotvortsev, a doctor. We are proud of A.I.Gessen, he is known among Pushkin explores; N.I. Kichunov, a famous gardener. Our school was founded by D.K. Kromskoy more than 100 years ago. It was an all-girl gymnasium. We are proud of our school and its school-leavers. D.K. Kromskoy was a famous merchant. Kromskoy invested a great deal of money into an all-girl gymnasium. The school turned out to be picture-perfect. Only girls from old money families could afford to study at this school. Having finished the school, students could work as primary school teachers.

The White Chalk Hills. People often hike up to where you can see the magnificent sunset in the evenings. No doubt, the White Chalk Hills create a beautiful atmosphere to our town.
Yasnii Kolodets is another special place in Korocha, it is known for its pleasant water, where people often come to relax and drink its water.
Korocha is a quiet town surrounded by fields and woods. The countryside around the town is green with fertile fields and rich vegetation. Everybody likes its
abundance of trees and flowers in streets and parks.
P 10: Korocha is a modern, clean and green town. It becomes especially beautiful in spring, when there flowers.The best time for a trip is spring or summer. Our people are friendly and hospitable. I am proud of town I live in, it past, present.
