Цели игры-викторины:
- Обобщение страноведческого материала по теме “Америка”;
- Воспитание культуры поведения и общения в командной деятельности;
- Формирование устойчивой мотивации в добывании знаний.
Правила игры-викторины “Путешествие по Америке”.
Игру можно организовать во время традиционной декады иностранных языков, которая бывает ежегодно в школе. За неделю до мероприятия объявляется тема игры-викторины, основные темы станций, которые будут затрагиваться в ней, назначается дата проведения.
Участие принимают обучающиеся 9–10–11-х классов. От каждого класса, желающего принять участие, подаётся заявка, в которой указывается класс, название команды, количество игроков (не более 5 человек), капитан команды.
В назначенный день проведения мероприятия игроки собираются в разных кабинетах по командам. Каждая команда получает свой маршрутный лист, в котором указаны последовательность передвижения игроков команды, названия станций и номер кабинета, где эта станция находится. На каждой станции есть педагог и болельщики от каждой команды. Педагог даёт лист с заданиями по теме станции. Например, Station № 1 – кабинет № 126 – “History of America”. Участники игры-викторины отвечают на 10 вопросов в форме теста. Детям не разрешается пользоваться какими-либо средствами и источниками информации. Как только дети справляются с заданиями, им даётся ключ с ответами. Под руководством педагога они проверяют свою ответы, подсчитывают сумму баллов. За каждый правильный ответ – 1 балл. Полученный результат записывается в маршрутный лист и ставится подпись учителя. Всё происходит в присутствии болельщиков из разных команд и подсказки педагога какой-либо команде исключены. Затем все участники игры-викторины встречаются в актовом зале, где педагоги (они же жюри) подсчитывают общую сумму баллов, которую команда набрала на каждой станции. Выставляют результат в маршрутный лист в окошко Total score. Объявляются победитель и призёры. Далее происходит награждение команд.
