Once upon a time… there lived 12 months.

Cool December brings us skating,
For the New Year we are waiting.

Song

We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
And a happy New Year.

We want some figgy pudding (3)
And a cup of good cheer.

We won't go until we get some (3)
So bring it out here!

We wish you a Merry Christmas (3)
And a happy New Year.

January brings the snow,
Makes our feet and fingers glow.

Poem “Three kittens”

We have three kittens.
One kitten has a black nose,
One kitten has a white nose,
One kitten has a pink nose.
The kitten with a black nose
Sleeps all the day.
The kitten with a white nose
Is always glad to play.
The kitten with a pink nose
Comes, when you call,
And I like them all.

Song “Three little kittens”

Three little kittens
They lost their mittens
And they began to cry,
“Oh mother dear, we sadly fear
Our mittens we have lost”.
“What? Lost your mittens?
You naughty kittens.
Then you will have no pie”.

The three little kittens
They found their mittens
And they began to cry,
“Oh mother dear, see here, see here,
Our mittens we have found”.
“Put on your mittens
You silly kittens
And you will have some pie”.

The three little kittens
Put on their mittens
And soon ate up the pie.
“Oh mother dear, we greatly fear
Our mittens we have soiled”.
“What? Soiled your mittens,
You naughty kittens”.
And they began to cry.

The three little kittens
They washed their mittens
And hung them out to dry.
“Oh mother dear, do you not hear?
Our mittens we have washed”.
“What? Washed your mittens,
You good, little kittens,
Now you will have more pie”.

February snows again
And sometimes it brings us rain.

Poem “Here Comes Peter Cottontail”

Here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin` down the bunny trail,
Hippity, hoppity, Easter`s on its way.
Bringin` every girl and boy
Baskets full of Easter joy,
Things to make your Easter bright and gay.
He`s got jelly beans for Tommy,
Colored eggs for sister Sue,
There`s an orchid for your Mommy
And an Easter bonnet, too.
Oh! here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin` down the bunny trail,
Hippity hoppity, Happy Easter day.
Here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin` down the bunny trail,
Look at him stop, and listen to him say:
“Try to do the things you should.”
Maybe if you`re extra good,
He`ll roll lots of Easter eggs your way.
You`ll wake up on Easter morning
And you`ll know that he was there
When you find those choc`late bunnies
That he`s hiding ev`rywhere.
Oh! here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin` down the bunny trail,
Hippity hoppity, Happy Easter day.

May brings flowers, joy and grass
And the holidays for us.

Song

Today you are going camping
With your family, friends or class.
Please help us, don’t drop any litter!
‘Cos your litter lives longer than us!
Refrain:
‘Cos nothing is forever
And nature is getting tired.
If we don’t stop and think today
Tomorrow the Earth could die.
Today you cut down your forests
But the planet needs our leaves.
Please stop it because tomorrow
You’ll have no air to breathe!
Refrain.
You can have a bath or a shower
But today is the time to think.
Save the rivers because without them
You’ll have no water to drink.
Refrain.
Today we are still in your forests,
In the sky, in the rivers, but look:
Don’t kill us! Because your children
Will see us in picture books.

June brings tulips, lilies, roses,
Fills the children’s hands with posies.

Flowers growing everywhere!

Your Granny is sick.
Go quick! Go quick!

Let’s help Granny!
Quick! Quick! Quick!
Hot July brings apples and cherries,
And a lot of other berries.

Song

Somebody likes chocolates,
And somebody likes cakes.
And everybody likes to swim in the lake.
Somebody likes football,
Somebody likes books,
And nobody likes soup.
Somebody enjoys the sun,
And somebody likes rain,
And everybody’s happy when summer comes again.
Somebody likes music,
Somebody likes this song,
And nobody enjoys the day when everything goes wrong.

August brings the golden corn,
Then the harvest home is born.

Song “Three Little Pigs”

We are happy little pigs,
Little pigs, little pigs,
We are happy little pigs,
La la la la la!

I have a little house of hay,
House of hay, house of hay,
I have a little house of hay,
La la la la la!

I have a little house of sticks,
House of sticks, house of sticks,
I have a little house of sticks,
La la la la la!

I have a little house of bricks,
House of bricks, house of bricks,
I have a little house of bricks,
La la la la la!

Wolf:

My name is Wolf. I’m creepy and awful,
I will puff and puff and blow your houses down!
Oh, no!

Who’s afraid of Big Bad Wolf,
Big Bad Wolf, Big Bad Wolf,
Who’s afraid of Big Bad Wolf,
Big Bad Wolf has gone.

Warm September brings us school,
Days are shorter, nights are cool.

Poem “Who lives in this house?”

Children:

Who lives in this house?
Isn’t it a little mouse?

Cat:

No, no. The little mouse
Doesn’t live in this house.

Children: Who lives in this house?

Cat:

Try to guess, try to guess.
I will sing you a song,
It is not very long “Mew-mew”.

Children:

A little cat lives in the house.
Not a pretty little mouse.
Cat, cat, come along,
We will sing you this song “Mew-mew”.

Cat:

I’m a little kitty,
I like to tippy toe.
Won’t you do it with me?
Ready now, let’s go.

Children:

Who lives in this house?
Isn’t it a little frog?

Rabbit:

No, no. The little frog
Doesn’t live in this house.

Children: Who lives in this house?

Rabbit:

Try to guess, try to guess.
I will sing you a song,
It is not very long:
I am little and grey,
I like to hop, hop, hop.
Come on and do it with me.
It’s fun, we’ll never stop.

Children:

A little rabbit lives in this house.
We will hop, hop, hop.
It’s fun, we’ll never stop.
Who lives in this house?
Isn’t it a big bear?

Elephant:

No, no. The big bear
Doesn’t live in this house.

Children: Who lives in this house?

Elephant:

Try to guess, try to guess.
I am grey and big,
I take big steps so slow.
I’d like you to join me,
Ready now? Let’s go.

Children:

A big elephant lives in this house.
We will join you, elephant.
Who lives in this house?
Isn’t it a parrot?

Dog:

No, no. The little parrot
Doesn’t live in this house.

Children:

I’m a little dog,
I like to run and run.
If you would do it with me,
We could have such fun.

Fresh October brings much fruit,
Then to gather them is good.
Welcome to our fair! Whose goods are the best?

Fun for every girl and boy.

Song

If you are happy and you know it,
Clap your hands.
If you are happy and you know it,
Clap your hands.
If you are happy and you know it,
And you really want to show it,
If you are happy and you know it,
Clap your hands.

If you are happy and you know it,
Stamp your feet.
If you are happy and you know it,
Stamp your feet.
If you are happy and you know it,
And you really want to show it,
If you are happy and you know it,
Stamp your feet.

If you are happy and you know it,
Touch your knees.
If you are happy and you know it,
Touch your knees.
If you are happy and you know it,
And you really want to show it,
If you are happy and you know it,
Touch your knees.

If you are happy and you know it,
Shout “Hurray!”
If you are happy and you know it,
Shout “Hurray!”
If you are happy and you know it,
And you really want to show it,
If you are happy and you know it,
Shout “Hurray!”

If you are happy and you know it,
Do all four!
If you are happy and you know it,
Do all four!
If you are happy and you know it,
And you really want to show it,
If you are happy and you know it,
Do all four!
