My dear friends, today we are going to talk about Great Britain – the country where people speak mainly English language. At the lesson we should remember everything we know about this country.

So, let`s start. Do you remember the lessons of Geography or History? When you speak about any country, what topics do you discuss
(Слайд 3,4,5) Pupils: geographical position, climate, history education political system etc
That`s right and now we shall speak about Britain according to this plan. The first topic is Geography
(Слайд 6,7 ) There are 2 pupils in our class who know everything about geography of this country and I want you to ask them questions
Учащиеся задают вопросы одноклассникам, которые затем могут еще добавить, если недостаточно освещен вопрос
(Слайд 8) В завершение выделяется вопрос What is the difference among British Isles, Great Britain and The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northeкn Ireland ?

(Слайд 10) Every country has its symbols. What are the main symbols of Russia ? . What are the main symbols of Yakutia? . What are the main symbols of Great Britain? На вопросы отвечают только называя символы Затем следуют небольшие рассказы учащихся о некоторых из английских символов(Слайд 11)
(Слайд 12) we often say that the main treasure of the country is its people. Let`s have a talk about British people. Do you know famous people of Great Britain?
Дети называют несколько известных имен. Далее обзор следующих слайдов выступают 2-3 ученика (Слайд 13,14)
We are coming to the end of our theme. Have you noticed what great things we haven`t yet spoken about?
Yes, sure – London and the queen.
(Слайд 15,16, 17) Political system It is interesting to know that GB is a monarchy but it also has a parliament
