Задачи урока:

  1. Образовательная: познакомить учащихся с достопримечательностями Лондона.
  2. Развивающая: развивать внимание, память, способность к логическому изложению.
  3. Воспитательные: приобщить к культурному и историческому наследию народа страны изучаемого языка; развивать взаимопомощь и умение сотрудничать.
  4. Практические: развивать навыки и умения монологической речи; развивать навыки и умения диалогической речи (речевой материал текста).

Ход урока

1. Оргмомент.

Good morning, my dear! I’m glad to see you. You may sit down. Are you fine today? OK! Today we are going to speak about London and its most famous sights.

2. Фонетическая зарядка.

But first of all brush up your phonetics. Look at the blackboard and repeat:

Trafalgar square
Buckingham Palace
Westminster Abbey
The Tower of London
White Tower
Bloody Tower
Art Gallery
The Houses of Parliament
Now you, …. (P1, P2).

3. Речевая зарядка.

Your hometask was to read a text (cтр. 65). What is the text about? London is the capital of Great Britain, isn’t it? What do you know about London? Is London old? Is it different from Moscow? Do you like London? What London’s sights do you know? Can you show them?

4. Контроль домашнего задания. Развитие навыков и умений диалогической речи.

It’s time to remember the text from your hometask. Open your books, page 65. I’m sure all the students of our group would like to visit London. I think you have a lot of questions. Work in pairs and ask each other questions about London’s sights. Take the instruction: How to work in pairs. The first what you must do – to look through the text, the second – to write 4 questions, the third – to ask your friend your questions.

Перед вами лежат схемы вопросительных предложений. Какие вопросы бывают? С чего начинается общий вопрос? Альтернативный? Специальный? По какой схеме строится разделительный вопрос?

Let’s start to work. You have 15 minutes.

Работа в парах по памятке: 1. Look through the text.

2. Write 4 questions.

3. Ask your friend your questions.

Достопримечательности распределяются между учащимися.

В помощь даны схемы вопросительных предложений. (см. Приложение 1.)

And now, imagine that P1 is from London. He is your pen-friend. Ask him your questions.

Возможные вопросы:

Is London big (old, …)? Is London the capital of Great Britain? London is the capital of Great Britain, isn’t it? What is Big Ben? What tone has the bell? How much does it weigh? Where can you hear the bell? Big Ben is a clock, isn’t it? Big Ben is really a bell, isn’t it? What is the Tower of London? Is the Tower old? Is it one building? What is the oldest part of the Tower? What history has the Bloody Tower? Can you see the blood today there? Does the Queen live in the Tower? Where does she live? Westminster Abbey is the symbol of England, isn’t it? Is Westminster Abbey the symbol of England? When was it founded? Who is buried there? Where does Westminster Abbey stand? Is Big Ben a clock or a bell? Is Big Ben big or small? Is Westminster Abbey a church or a museum?

Who else wants to be a Londoner? ( Еще один учащийся отвечает на вопросы класса).

5. Динамическая пауза.

6. Развитие навыков монологической речи.

Let’s try to tell what we have learned about London’s sights. I give you 1 minute. Be ready to tell about 1 sight. Who wants to tell about Big Ben? Westminster Abbey? The Houses of Parliament? The Tower of London?

I think you would be good guides. Let’s try to tell about all the sights. ( Один учащийся обобщает все услышанное о Лондоне).

7. Рефлексия. Подведение итогов.

So, children, would you like to visit London? What place of interest would you like to visit?

Your homework will be to make a guidebook of London or a postcard of 1 place of interest. You can draw it or use a computer.
