The song “Christmas Is Coming”

Christmas is coming,
The geese are getting fat,
Please put a penny
In the old man's hat.
If you haven't got a penny,
A ha'penny will do,
If you haven't got a ha'penny,
Then God bless you. 1. .

1. Dear friends! You are welcome to our Christmas party! Please, take your seats! All of you are learning English and we hope it will be interesting to you to learn more about this holiday and the way it is celebrated in England, in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Let's listen to the song "Silent Night".

Silent Night, Holly night
All is calm, All is bright
Round your Virgin Mother and child,
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace.

Shepherds quake in the night
Glories steam from heaven afar?
Heavenly hosts sing Halleluiah
. Christ the savior is born
Christ the savior is born. ”

Silent Night, Holly night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.

3. Some weeks before Christmas people are busy. They send greeting cards to all their relatives and friends. People buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with toys, coloured balls and little coloured lights. On Christmas Eve people put their presents under the tree.

Look! What a nice Christmas tree we have! How many beautiful toys!

Let's sing a song about the Christmas tree.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!

In summer sun or winter snow,
A coat of green you always show.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!

4. When children go to bed, they put their stockings near their beds. At night Santa Claus conies. He has got a big bag of presents for children. He puts the presents into the children's stockings.

Let's sing the song "We wish you a merry Christinas"

We wish you a merry Christmas (x3)
And a happy new year.
We wish you a merry Christmas (x3)
And a happy new year.

Good tidings we bring to you and your kin.
We wish you a merry Christmas
And a happy new year.
We all want some figgy pudding (x3)
And a cup of good cheer.
We won't go until we get some (x3)
So bring it right here.
Good tidings we bring to you and your kin.
We wish you a merry christmas
And a happy new year.
A happy new year.

We wish you a merry christmas (x3)
And a happy new year.
We wish you a merry christmas (x3)
And a happy new year.

5. В канун Рождества дети участвуют в представлениях, посвященных рождению Христа. Они разыгрывают сценки из библейской жизни. Дети исполняют Рождественские гимны или песни, которые иначе называют Carols.

Let's sing the song "Jingle bells"!

1. Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh,
Over the fields we go, laughing all the way.
Bells on bobtail ring, making spirits bright,
What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight!

Chorus:
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.
Oh! What fun it is to ridq in a one-horse open sleigh!
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.
Oh! What fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh!

2. A day .or two ago, I thought I'd take a ride,
And soon Miss Fannie Bright was sitting by my side.
The horse was lean and lank, misfortune was his lot.
He got into a snowdrift bank - and we? We got upset!

3. So now the moon is bright, enjoy it while you are young.
Invite'your friends tonight to sing this sleighing song.
Just get a bob-tailed nag and give him extra feed.
Then hitch him to an open sleigh - and crack! You'll take the lead!

6. Merry Christmas to you,
Merry Christmas to me,
Merry Christmas to all your friends,
Where ever they may be.
Merry Christmas to school
And to your teachers too.
Merry Christmas to every one
And I wish my wish comes true.

All: Merry Christmas to you! Merry Christmas to every body!
