Задачи:

  1. Совершение навыков чтения с полным пониманием.
  2. Совершенствование навыков аудирования.

Оборудование: тексты, лексика по текстам, карточки, цитаты ученых, тесты, презентация, схемы, компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, экран.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент:

T-Good morning! Glad to see you. Sit down.

2. Введение в тему урока:

T-We learned a lot of inventions: modern and ancient. As we know all discoveries are made by persons. It seems to me it’s interesting to know what persons they were like. Today we are going to speak about a great scientist, whose name is connected with this tasty thing. (учитель показывает яблоко). What’s his name?

P1-Isaac Newton (Презентация № 1).

T-Why do you think I have chosen him?

P1-Newton is one of the greatest scientists of the world.

P2-Newton is a great British physician.

P3-Mathematics 2 physics are the main subjects of our studding.

P4-I know that one exam card in English is “Famous people of great Britain. ”

T – At the end of the lesson you should answer 2 questions:

- What scientist’s personal traits are the most important?

3. Работа по развитию навыков аудирования:

T- You have got a card with aspects of speech and your mark for each aspect. You put your marks yourselves. (Приложение №1).

T – Every person begins from his (or her) biography. Let’s listen to Olga’s story about Newton’s biography, try to remember as many facts as you can. You’ll have a test on listening comprehension.

P1 reads a story about Newton’s biography. (Приложение № 2).

T – Take places at the computers and do the test. You’ve got 4- 5 minutes. (Приложение №3).

T - Your time is up. Take your places of the desks, look through the text about “Newton’s biography, find your mistakes. Have you got questions?

T-why do you think there are a lot of international words in our text?

P1 – A lot of scientific words came from the English Language.

P2 – There were lot of famous scientists from Great Britain.

P3 – International words help us to understand the text and read it quickly.

T - Another way to read the text quicker is word –formation. Your task is to find other forms of my word from the text. (Презентация № 2).

1) Nature – natural, naturally, naturalist.

2) friend – befriend – friendly.

3) philosophy – philosopher – philosophical – philosophic.

4) experiment – experimenter - experimental

5) prove – proof.

6) multiply – multiplication.

7) simple – simply.

T- Remember

Noun is formed by the suffixes ship, tion, -er.

Verb is formed by the prefix be.

Adverb – by the suffix ly.

Adjectives are wade by suffixes –ic, -l way of conversion. (v-n).

T - Let’s try use your knowledge of word – formation: (Приложение № 5).

Use the right form of the word. 4 minutes.
