Симпозиум по охране окружающей среды стран Тихоокеанского региона (на английском языке)

Задачи:

• познакомить учащихся с экологическими проблемами нашего региона,
• совершенствовать навыки устной речи по заданной теме,
• провести викторину по экологическим проблемам,
• воспитывать у учащихся чувство ответственности и бережного отношения к природе.

Оснащение:

• флаги стран-участниц симпозиума: России, Японии, Китая, Кореи,
• кассета с записями видов города, мусора, загрязнёнными местами,
• проектор (задания викторины).

Эпиграф на доске:

• The Earth is a garden
   It’s a beautiful place
   For all living creatures
   For the entire human race.

• Слово “Welcome!”

ХОД МЕРОПРИЯТИЯ

1. Чтение эпиграфа на доске, перевод его для гостей.

2. Представление делегаций (Руководитель делегации приветствует участников симпозиума, называет своё имя, знакомит с членами группы).

3. Приветствие президента России В.В. Путина

A fishing inspector

My job is closely connected with the water pollution. I have to see much litter, dead fish that were killed for caviar. Water is not blue but brown with rubbish floating in it. Besides millions of tons of oil are released into the sea every year. We can only imagine how many seabirds and fish die because of it.

You know, nuclear power stations can go wrong and cause nuclear pollution. It must be dangerous to human beings too.

Besides people should not dump waste into lakes, rivers and seas. Man should not influence climate so much.

A doctor

We worry about the health of our children. They suffer from many illnesses. The number of infant mortality is constantly increasing.

Many students miss classes because of their problems with health. Practically we have no healthy children. Doctors have to cure dangerous diseases.

Parents spend much money buying necessary tablets, pills and other medicine.

I’d like to pay your attention to another thing. When we burn things we produce a lot of carbon dioxide. Some sprays can do a lot of harm to the atmosphere too. All these things influence our health.

I agree that the water in our seas and oceans is so polluted that we can’t even use it for cleaning our decks. Acid rains are dangerous not only for the atmosphere but for water too. Plastic bags are swimming in the seas and oceans…

8. Переводчикам предложено перевести предложения для членов своих делегаций:

  • Множество заводов и фабрик вырабатывают отходы и сливают их в реки. Так вода в реках становится отравленной.
  • Дыры в озоновом слое очень опасны для людей: ультрафиолетовое излучение проходит через них и достигает Земли. Такое излучение может вызвать опасные заболевания.
  • Население многих стран страдает от недостатка воды.
  • Ядерное оружие способно произвести страшные разрушения на нашей планете. Ядерные электростанции не такие уж “чистые”, как полагают некоторые: они становятся причиной радиационного загрязнения.
  • Окружающая среда – это всё, что вы видите вокруг себя. Сегодня люди понимают, что необходимо сохранить её в чистоте, если человечество хочет выжить.
