My little brother Sam has a birthday today. He is five and he likes animals very much.

In the morning my parents say: “Good morning, dear! Happy birthday to you!” And they give Sam a toy train and a big toy robot. Sam is happy. He plays with his toys all morning.

In the afternoon all our family – mum and dad, my brother, granddad and I go to the zoo. We want to see all the animals and have fun. At the zoo we go to see the monkeys. They are funny. They run, jump and eat bananas. We give a banana to one little monkey, too.

Then we look at the lions – they are very beautiful. They play and don’t look at us. Sam wants to give a banana to them, too. But dad says “Lions don’t eat bananas, Sam. They like meat.”

Then we see a big giraffe and take a nice picture with it. It is tall and nice.

In the evening when we come home, we have a birthday cake and drink tea with Sam’s friends.

It is a very good day.
