Урок английского языка по теме “Global Issues”. 7-й класс

Тип урока: комбинированный

Цели: развивать коммуникативную компетенцию во всех видах речевой деятельности, развивать общие и специальные умения

Практические задачи: совершенствовать фонетические навыки, лексические навыки, навыки ознакомительного чтения, навыки аудирования, развивать умение прогнозировать содержание текста, используя контекстуальную догадку, развивать навыки устной и письменной речи, уважительное отношение к мнению учителя и одноклассников; воспитывать толерантное отношение к языку и культуре другой нации; развивать умение сотрудничать друг с другом на уроке, не нарушая общепринятых этических норм. Формировать  эколого-валеологическое мышления

Планируемые результаты:

• Предметные: узнавать и правильно называть экологические проблемы, понимать содержание аудиозаписи проблемах экологии , рассказывать об экологических проблемах в мире и в своём родном городе, применять знания в различных ситуациях
  
• Регулятивные УУД: составлять план и последовательность своих действий с учётом достижения конечного результата, уметь корректировать свои действия в процессе коммуникативной деятельности, уметь преодолевать трудности
  
• Познавательные УУД: уметь строить логические цепи рассуждений, уметь воспроизводить информацию по памяти для решения задачи, уметь структурировать полученные знания
  
• Коммуникативные УУД: строить монологическое контекстное высказывание; в процессе коммуникации достаточно точно, последовательно и полно передавать партнёру необходимую информацию как ориентир для построения действия

Ход урока

1. Начало урока

T : Hello, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you! Sit down , please.
How are you? Is anybody absent today? What day is it today?
Today we have an unusual lesson. We have guests today. I hope you’ll work as well as you usually do.
Let’s start our lesson.

2. Целеполагание

T. Listen to the poem, look at the slides and try to guess the topic of our lesson.

Right! Our planet is very important to us. Nowadays more and more people realize it and take care of the environment. There is even a special Day which is called EARTH DAY. Do you know when it is celebrated? (22, April)

T. First of all, let’s review some words related to our today’s topic.

1) Look at the slide, match the words in the left column to the words in the right column

2) Choose the correct word

T.: What do you know about the ecological situation on the planet earth?

I want you to listen to some of the best songs by Michael Jackson. Listen, watch the video and name the ecological problems mentioned in the song.

T. Very impressive, isn’t  it? What  is the main idea of the song? What problems worry the singer? Name them

5. Работа в парах.  Работа с текстом o тропических лесах. Задание в формате ОГЭ.

T: Have you ever heard of tropical rainforests? What are they? Where can you find them?

T: Now you are going to work in pairs.

Look through the text very quickly and find the answer to the questions:

1. Why are rainforests so important?
2. What happens to rainforests now?

Read the text again and fill in the gaps with the proper grammatical form of the words.

You have 5 minutes.

Now watch the video about a voluntary organization in the UK. It is called The Wildlife Trust.

While watching the video, answer the questions on the cards. (Приложение 2)

1. How many volunteers help the organization every year? (over 33, 000)
2. Who or what eats nurdles? (birds and animals)
3. How much rubbish do volunteers collect in Dorset each year? (over 5 tons)
4. Which of these practical  tasks do the volunteers do: clean beaches, plant trees, help endangered animals?

Imagine that one of you wants to donate money to WWF. Act out the dialogue. (Приложение 4)

T. Well, we have remembered different ecological problems. What about our little town Lobnya? Are there any ecological problems in our town or maybe it is a very clean town?

Two of your classmates have made some research and now let’s listen to them.

T. Students, look at this poor leafless tree! It needs badly our help. Let’s help it!

Well, my dear friends.  Time flies and we have to finish our lesson. Today we’ve spoken about some of the eco-problems and tried to make some rules to help our planet.

Before we finish, I’d like you to look at these pictures. They were pained by famous artists. Do you know these artists?

Well, The first work was created by Fedor Vasil’yev. It’s called  TREES. As you see, the colours are mostly bright and the picture makes us feel optimistic.
Another one is On Valaam by Cuindgi. As you can see they it is full of dark colours and it makes us feel pessimistic.

Choose the one which expresses your feelings or mood. Take a card and stick to the picture which expresses your feelings after the lesson.
In conclusion, I want to say: Be kind to nature. Don’t pollute the air, water, soil. Take care of our town and our country. Only together we can make difference.
