2 ведущий: Christmas is the most popular holiday in Great Britain. It is the night from the 24th to the 25th of December, when people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The people begin to prepare for the holiday long before it. They buy presents, cards, Christmas trees, tasty food. They send them to their friends, relatives.
3 ведущий: The English send more than a billion Christmas cards every year. Very often we can see a small bird on Christmas cards and trees. It is a robin. The Robin is one of the symbols of Christmas.
1 ведущий: А еще дети и взрослые поют, танцуют и читают стихи!
Рождество – самый популярный и любимый праздник в Великобритании. Его отмечают в ночь с 24 на 25 декабря. Люди начинают готовиться к празднику задолго до Рождества.
2 ведущий: Before Christmas the English buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with toys, balls and lights. The tree is often put into the window and at night one can walk along the street and watch the lights twinkling in the windows.
Long before that the English decorated their houses with different evergreens. The favorite of them are holly, ivy and mistletoe.
3 ведущий: Перед Рождеством англичане покупают елки, украшают их игрушками. А еще они украшают свои дома разноцветными огоньками и вечнозелеными растениями. Самые популярные из них: листая омелы, остролиста и плюща.

Санта: The most famous Christmas tree stands every year in Trafalgar Square. Since 1947 the citizens of Oslo give this tree to the citizens of London.
It is over fifty feet high. The tree is brightly decorated. Right at the top is a large shining star. The branches are draped with tinsel and hung with big brilliant stars that sparkle in the light.

В самом центре Лондона, на Трафальгарской площади стоит огромная зеленая ель — с 1947 года жителе Осло дарят ее жителям Лондона. Ель 5 футов в высоту, ее ярко украшают разноцветными огнями и игрушками.

Самое главное событие Рождества — праздничный обед с традиционной индюшкой или гусем, пудингом и рождественскими подарками.

On Christmas Eve Children leave a long sock or stocking at the end of their bed. They hope that Father Christmas will come down the chimney during the night and bring them small presents, fruit and nuts. In the morning on Christmas day children are very excited. They open their stockings and find presents in bright paper and ribbons. Many people go to church on that day. On returning from church the whole families gather round the tree.
3 ведущий: Любящие и послушные дети получают рождественские подарки. Они развешивают свои маленькие чулочки у камина, а утром находят их полными гостинцев. Их принес Санта-Клаус.
Эта история началась давно, когда двое бедных ребятишек весь день бродили по городу, прося милостыню. Но никто не подал им ничего для ужина. Продрогшие и голодные, они вернулись домой, развесили свои мокрые от дождя и снега чулки у камина, чтобы просушить, а утром обнаружили, что они полны подарков. Господь сжалился над бедными детьми и повелел Санта-Клаусу одарить их гостинцами. Вот оно какое - Рождество.
Санта: Ну а нам пора в дорогу! В следующую страну!

Санта:
«Рождественский сезон» в Америке начинается сразу после Хэллоуина и заканчивается семейным ужином 25 декабря. Этот праздник - еще один повод собраться всей семьей за одним столом вместе, сделать друг другу приятные подарки, сказать приятные слова.
2 ведущий:
Почти каждый украшает свой дом или квартиру к Рождеству. Чаще всего это венки из еловых веток и разноцветные лампочки на окнах.
3 ведущий: Владельцы домов устраивают перед своими соседями целые выставки из фигурок волхвов, ангелов, Санта Клауса и его помощников.
Санта:
Уже за месяц вы увидите украшения в витринах магазинов. Это как соревнование: чей офис, дом или витрина украшены лучше. В начале декабря Президент США зажигает огни на главной елке в Америке – той, что растет напротив Белого дома.
Ну, и, конечно, все весело проводят время! Ребята из 6 класса тоже решили нас порадовать и приготовили сценку.
(6 класс – сценка)
На сцене мальчик Степан украшает елку. Входит Санта Клаус.
Santa Claus: Hello, Stepan!
Stepan: Hello, Santa Claus!
SC: What are you doing?
S: I’m decorating a New Year Tree.
SC: But it’s too late to decorate it. New Year is coming in 5 minutes! Oh, you know that I won’t come if you don’t decorate a New Year Tree.
S: Yes, Santa Claus. I've been busy. I haven't had time to decorate a New Year Tree.
SC: What have you been doing?
S: I've been busy with my homework.
SC: Really? You’re a clever boy. Do you talk in classes?
S: No, I don’t. I sit still and listen to the teacher and work.
SC: Fantastic! Do you cheat in classes?
S: No, I don’t. I sit still and work.
SC: Oh, I’m surprised! Do you run during the breaks?
S: No, I don’t. I sit still and revise my hometask.
SC: I have never seen such a good boy before! I have a great present for you! But…Do you have any demerit?
S: Yes, I have one… I lie a lot…
Санта Клаус делает недоуменное лицо и от удивления садится на пол.
1 ведущий: Ну а нам пора в дорогу!

(На заднем плане сцены ходят отдыхающие в летних костюмах, кто-то играет в мяч, у всех панамы и солнечные очки)
Санта:
В Новой Зеландии Рождество пересекается с летними каникулами, поэтому новозеландцы совмещают рождественские вечеринки и шопинг с отдыхом на пляже. Магазины украшают зимними снежными композициями.
1 ведущий: А что они едят за праздничным ужином?
Санта: Основное блюдо - это жареная индейка с соусами, фруктовый рождественский пудинг, пирожки.
2 ведущий:
Ну и конечно, все веселятся, поют песни и дарят друг другу подарки. И ребята из 6 класса приготовили для вас песню «Twinkle, twinkle, little star».
1 ведущий:
Наше путешествие подходит к концу. В завершение нашего вечера давайте все вместе споем песню «We wish you …»
