Цели урока: закрепление пройденного лексического и грамматического материала, развития навыка чтения.
Задачи урока.
Практические: обобщить и систематизировать знания учащихся по теме “Holidays”, развивать и укреплять орфографические навыки.
Образовательные: расширить кругозор учащихся по теме, развитие коммуникативных способностей, умения быстро и адекватно реагировать на определённую речевую ситуацию.
Развивающие: создание положительной внутренней мотивации к изучению английского языка, выявление и развитие творческих способностей учащихся.
Воспитательные: развитие умений учащихся работать в команде, адекватно вести себя в процессе межличностного общения.
Оборудование: видеомагнитофон, диск, циферблат часов, жетоны, открытки, маски животных, красные и жёлтые карточки, бумажные цветы.
Ход урока
Организационный момент.
Teacher: The bell has gone, children. Get ready for a lesson. Good morning, girls and boys. I am glad to see you. (We are glad to see you.)
How are you, children? (We are fine, thanks. How are you?)
I am fine, thank you. Sit down, please.
Say “Hello”!
And clap your hands!
Don’t say “No”!
And, please, say “Yes”!
Today at the lesson we’ll talk about English holidays.
Фонетическая разминка.
Let’s revise the rhyme about Humpty Dumpty.
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
All the King’s horses and all the King’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.
(Дети проговаривают стихотворение хором, затем переводят его.)
Закрепление лексики.
Look at the blackboard, there are some words, but some letters are missed. You should put the necessary letters in the gaps:

Well, I see you’ve learnt these words well. Let’s read them after me.

Повторение грамматики: Past Simple, Comparisons, Ordinal Numerals.
It’s time to begin our competition. We’ll find out if you know English irregular verbs. We need the second form of the irregular verb. (Учитель называет неправильные глаголы на русском языке, а учащиеся произносят первую и вторую формы на английском языке.
За каждый правильный ответ дети получают по жетону).

Teacher: It’s time to read, children. Today you must read and guess the meaning of new words. (Чтение новых слов и предложений в упражнении учебника, переводят новые слова, словосочетания и предложения.)

Teacher: Let’s revise the holidays we read about. Christmas, New Year, Halloween, Mother’s day, St. Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day. You are right. Let’ talk about these holidays. It was interesting to learn new things about them. Are you ready to talk? When are the holidays? What do people do during them? (Учащиеся по очереди рассказывают о каком-либо празднике, дополняют запомнившиеся факты.)
Today I like your work. Now we’ll watch a presentation about English holidays. (Учащиеся смотрят презентацию на английском языке).
I want you to show if you understand and remember the information. You have got two cards: red card – true, yellow – false. You will raise red cards if you agree with the statement, if you don’t agree, raise yellow cards. (Ученики поднимают красные карточки, если согласны с утверждением, жёлтые карточки, если утверждение неверно).
Statements:
- Christmas is celebrated on the twenty third of December.
- Pumpkin is a symbol of the First Foot Day.
- Father’s Day is celebrated in May.
- April Fool’s Day is the day of jokes and tricks.
- St. Patrick’s Day is a national holiday of Scotland.
- Easter Day is the start of spring and religious festival.
- The fourteenth of February is St. Andrew’s Day.
You are well done. Thank you for your work. So at home you’ll write the letters to your friends about your favorite holiday in Great Britain (Учащиеся должны написать дома письмо о любимом празднике Великобритании).
