What is the Russian equivalent to this proverb?
Why do English think so? (They think so because their homes are the places where they safe and loved. My home is my castle because it is clean, light and warm, comfortable)

Do exercise and tell us: What is the difference between HOUSE and HOME?
I think every country, every family, every home has its own traditions. We’ve got a letter from Great Britain. (на доске фотографии праздника). Our pen-friend has written about their tradition. Listen to me attentively and guess: WHAT HOLIDAY DO ENGLISHMEN CELEBRATE IN MARCH? (аудирование)
Pancake Day
It is a gay and tasty holiday. It is usually celebrated in March. People eat pancakes!
They have pancakes not only at home but at school as well.
But not only they eat pancakes, they ...run with them!
In some villages and towns in England pancake races take place every year. These races are run by housewives. There are special rules about pancake races: housewives must wear aprons, they must put on hats or scarves on their heads. They must run about 415 yards (410 metres). A bell rings twice before the race. With the first bell the women must make their pancakes. With the second bell they start running with a pancake in a frying-pan. While running the race, they must toss the pancake three times and catch it back on the frying –pan. If the pancake falls down, the runner may pick it up and toss it again.
The other members of the families watch the runners and cheer: ”Run, Mum, run, run quickly!”
- контроль понимания текста( ответы на вопросы по тексту)

7. I know your families have your own traditions.
8. Write down your homework.-на печатных листочках - соединить названия праздников с их описанием.
9. At the end of the lesson I want to say: We can’t say “We know English”, if we do not know English traditions. So we can’t say we know own country if we don’t keep them up. If you agree - show me the red card. If you don’t agree - the green card.
Our lesson is over. I would like you to express your attitude to the lesson and give your self-assessment. You may begin with:
