Цели:
- тренировка фонетических и грамматических навыков;
- совершенствование навыков монологической речи по теме «Школа»;
- актуализация навыков диалогической речи.
Оборудование: карточки с цифрами и со словами на обратной стороне; карточки с транскрипцией слов, таблицы с названиями школьных предметов, картинки с изображением школьных принадлежностей, карточки с названиями школьных предметов, картинки животных, жетоны.
ХОД МЕРОПРИЯТИЯ
– Hello, my dear boys and girls! Sit down, please. Today we shall have a competition.
Two teams will take part in our competition. The first team is the first row and the
second team is the second row.
– After each task I’ll give a score to the team which managed with the task. At the
end we’ll count them and know what team win.
1. Our first task is to think of the names of your teams. You are to choose a fairy-tale character’s name and to tell about him.
2. Our second task – “Interpreter”. Look at the blackboard, please. You can see the cards with figures from 1 to 10. At the other side of them there are English words on the topic “School” and their transcriptions. You are to match them calling only 2 figures.
3. Our third task – “Fill in the missing sound”.

4. The fourth task – “School subjects”. You are to guess what the subject is, according to their descriptions and fill in the tables.
- At this subject you can learn how to use computer. (IT)
- At this subject you can run, jump, play football or tennis. (PE)
- At this subject you can study nature and do some experiments. (Science)
- At this subject you can paint your favorite pictures. (Art)
- At this subject you can read stories, novels and poems. (Literature)
- At this subject you can travel to the past. (History)
- At this subject you can count and write figures. (Maths)
- At this subject you can learn to speak, to read and to write in foreign language. (English)
5. The fifth task for you is to match parts of the words.

8. While the captains are preparing, let’s play the game “What’s missing?” At the blackboard you can the pictures of the animals. Your task is to remember them, then close your eyes and guess what is missing.
– And now our competition comes to an end. Let’s count your scores: “Cinderella” – 15 scores, “Winnie-the-Pooh” – 20 scores. So the second team is a winner of the game.
– Thank you for your attention! You are very clever!
