The plan of the lesson.

I. Greeting. Encouraging students.

Hello, dear friends! I’m glad to see you! You look wonderful today! Do you have a special day?

What date is it today? Is anybody away? Let’s begin our lesson.

Look at the blackboard! What can you see on it?

Don’t blow it – good planets are hard to find” (Time magazine)

Can you paraphrase this quotation? (discuss the meaning in pairs or small groups).

Do you agree or disagree with the quotation? Justify your opinion.

Yes, you are right. These problems are discussed everywhere: on radio and TV, in newspapers and magazines because t he ecological situation on the planet is very dangerous. At the lesson we are going to discuss what is happening now on our planet and touch upon the problems of environment in the country. Then you will exchange your opinions about your help to nature.

Greenpeace organization was created in 1987. This organization carries out numerous campaigns against the global environmental pollution. The protection of natural resources and wild animals is becoming a political programme in every country.

  1. Don’t pollute air, land, water.

13) Why is it important to speak about nature protection nowadays? Exchange your opinions.

V. The conclusion of the lesson.

To protect nature people should change their attitude to it. Man should stop taking from nature everything he needs and give it his love instead. Otherwise the price that mankind will have to pay will be too high. It is good that at last people started to realize that they should keep air and water clean by establishing strict pollution control.

  2. Illustrate the Code of Ecological Rules.
  3. Get ready to speak about the latest disasters in our country and in the world.
