Goal
To have students acquire an understanding of the texts with the help of non-verbal components to develop their autonomy for creating productive learning environment.
Activity 1 (approximately 2 min.)
Purpose - To give students a clear idea about what they are going to do in class.
Procedure - Announce the following item for students to express some ideas :
"The role of the development of medicine for people's health is impossible to overestimate."
Activity 2 (approximately 5 min.)
Purpose - To brush up the vocabulary on the topic.
Procedure -To emphasize that the purpose of the lesson is to understand the texts on the topic through the reading of the non-verbal components.
Activity 3 (approximately 5 min.)
Purpose - To reinforce the purpose of reading non-verbal components.
Procedure -Students read the graphs.
Activity 4 (approximately 10 min.)
Purpose-To elicit the information from the whole text.
Procedure -Students read the texts.
Activity 5 (approximately 10 min.)
Purpose - To clarify the understanding the whole message of the given texts.
Procedure - Summarising the major points of the information presented in the texts with the help of the spider diagramm;
Cheking the results.
Activity 6 (approximately 10-15 min.)
Purpose - Students use what they have elicited from the texts.
Procedure - Encourage students to present the information independently demonstrating all the skills which are necessary for reading scientific texts with the non-verbal components.
