And how are you today?
I’m very glad to hear that you are OK today.
Let’s begin our lesson.

A) For some lessons our topic for discussion was “A time to celebrate”.
(“A time to celebrate” is written on the blackboard.)
What does the word “celebrate” mean?
We have spoken about traditions and holidays.
Do you like holidays?
I would like you to answer my questions.
– What is a tradition?
What is a holiday?
Are there many holidays in our country?
Are there holidays in other countries?
I know that there are many holidays and there are some traditions in our country.
– Do you know what holiday is the main holiday of the year in our country?
– Do you like to celebrate this holiday?
– Did you celebrate New Year’s Day good or bad?
– What holiday is the most important holiday in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland?
– Do you know anything about Christmas Day?
– When do the English people celebrate Christmas?

We have spoken much about this holiday (about Christmas). But today I would like you to know more about other holidays.
Except New Year’s Day and Christmas Day people celebrate other holidays.
For some holidays people prepare beforehand. They send greeting cards, buy presents, make fancy dresses and decorate their houses. And when the holiday comes they congratulate each other.
3. Фонетическая зарядка.
(Тексты с поздравлениями представлены в презентации. Учащиеся читают текст поздравления и отгадывают, к какому празднику можно отправить данное поздравление)
And now I want you to guess for what holiday you can send these congratulations.
Will you read the congratulation?
How do you think when we can send it?
On what holiday can we wish the people it?
4. Презентация и защита проектов
