Цели:
- Учебный аспект:
- совершенствование навыков аудирования, чтения и говорения.
- Воспитательный аспект:
- формирование эстетических чувств, взглядов;
- формирование этического отношения между юношами и девушками в вопросах любви, дружбы;
- воспитание культуры поведения в коллективе;
- воспитание трудолюбия и ответственности за порученное дело.
- Развивающий аспект:
- развитие такого свойства личности, как творческое отношение к делу;
- развитие драматических, артистических и музыкальных способностей, инициативности, активности;
- развитие способностей к осуществлению продуктивных речевых действий;
- развитие способностей к логическому изложению своего мнения, формулированию выводов.
Этап подготовки
Подготовка к вечеру-дискуссии начинается за
две-три недели до запланированного мероприятия.
План подготовки составляется инициативной
группой под руководством учителя. В соответствии
с этим планом каждый участник получает
конкретные задания по подготовке к мероприятию.
Распределение заданий производится по принципу
добровольности, инициативы и самодеятельности
учащихся.
Группе учащихся поручается оформить зал:
нарисовать плакаты, написать изречения о любви,
украсить зал цветами и шарами.
Некоторым учащимся предлагается выучить стихи о
любви английских поэтов, переведенные на русский
язык.
На этапе подготовки учитель предлагает учащимся
самим сделать художественные переводы стихов
английских поэтов.
Учитель выбирает ребят для инсценировок и
драматизации и проводит с ними несколько
репетиций.
Группе ребят предлагается подобрать музыкальное
сопровождение к чтению стихов.
Участникам дискуссии предлагается выучить и
исполнить во время вечера песни о любви на
английском языке.
На вечер-дискуссию могут быть приглашены члены
администрации школы, учителя других секций,
родители. Следует заранее подготовить и вручить
им приглашения
Учитель готовит призы и дипломы для наиболее
активных участников вечера, для победителей
конкурса переводчиков, актеров, певцов,
оформителей.
Этап проведения
Вечер-дискуссия проводится в большой классной комнате или зале. Учащиеся располагаются полукругом таким образом, чтобы всем было видно всех во время обсуждения предложенных вопросов. Специальное место отводится для импровизированной сцены, где ученики будут демонстрировать инсценировки и драматизации.
Сценарий проведения тематического вечера "Love Party"
Учитель: Love... The word can have many different meanings. But
through all these meanings many people would agree that they want to love and to be loved.
Many famous people wrote or spoke about love. Let's read and translate some of these
quotations.

Учитель: (показывая красную коробочку в форме сердечка) Here in this box there are children's messages about love. Let's read them and see what love is according to their opinion.
Учащиеся берут из коробочки записки с детскими высказываниями о любви, работая в группе, читают и переводят их, а затем один из членов группы передает содержание высказывания всем присутствующим на русском языке (см. Приложение 1).

B: Couldn't come! Why couldn't you come?
G: Well, I had to wash my hair.
B: Wash your hair! I've got the flu!...Wash your hair! Why didn't
you phone me?
G: I wanted to phone you, but I couldn't remember your number.
B: But it's in the telephone directory.
G: Yes, I know, but I couldn't remember your surname.
B: Oh! But why did you have to wash your hair last night?
G: Well, I had to do it last night because I was going to the opera last
night.
B: The opera? Who with?
G: G...George. George Johnson. My old friend.
B: I see... How did you like the opera?
G: I didn't go.
B: Oh! Where were you then?
G: At the restaurant.
B: What?!
G: At the restaurant... with Ted Butler, the son of my boss. He asked me

Учащиеся слушают инсценированный диалог в исполнении юноши и девушки и называют основную тему диалога - "свидание (dating) ".
Учитель:Yes, you are right. This dialogue is about dating. Do
you know what is different in the dating customs of the English-speaking countries and our
country? What do these expressions about dating customs mean?
Учащиеся, глядя на плакаты, называют и
объясняют типы свиданий.

P: (coming into Jenny's room) Hi, Jenny! You wanted to see
me? What's up? What can I do for you?
J: Oh, Pam! Glad to see you! It's so nice that you've come. You see, I've
got a problem and need your help.
P: What is it? And where are you going? J: I'm going out with a boy
called Thomas. It's our first date. But a week ago I arranged to meet another boy called
Stephen, my pen pal who is coming to our city today to see me. So, could you help me sort
this out?
P: No, I just can't do it.
J: Of course you can. It won't be difficult. Have a look at his photo...
P: Not bad... Hm... But he could have been better.
J: Just walk up to him and tell him...
P: That you can't make it, that you are ill or something. Yes I know.
I'll say that you are so sorry.
You don't look very sorry, though.
J: (laughing) Well, it's not my fault, is it? How was I to know
that Thomas was going to ask me out
on the very day that I'd arranged to meet Stephen?
P: Well, what am I going to do with him? Suppose he gets mad or
something?
J: Don't be silly! (laughing again) He's just a pen pal. I've
only been writing to him for a couple of months.

(Pam and a boy are in a cafe)
P: (to the audience, coming into a cafe) A really handsome
young man. In life he is much better than on the picture. (Addressing the boy) Err...
Are you Stephen - Jenny's friend?
B: Err... yeah... That's right.
P: I'm afraid she's sent me to tell you that she can't make it. She's not
well.
B: Oh, no!
P: She said she'd get in touch with you as soon as she could.
B: I see.
P: She was really looking forward to it.
B: Oh, well... that's life!
P: I'm glad you've taken it like that.
B: You and I… have got a lot in common. Twin souls, you might say.
P: Do you really think so?
B: Sure! And to celebrate our meeting, I'm going to invite you to the
cinema. There's a horror film on at the Odeon.
P: How do you know what's on here? Jenny said you lived a hundred miles
away.
B: Who?
P: Jenny. The girl you were supposed to meet here.
B: Never heard of her!
P: Why?
B: When a pretty girl sits opposite you and starts chatting, you just go
along with it. By the way, my name's Chris. Do you mind?
P: No, I don't mind. Not at all.

B: Shall we go?

Учащиеся смотрят инсценировку рассказа и озаглавливают его. Наилучший вариант A BLIND DATE.
Учитель: Our party is coming to the end. Let's finish it with a famous song "My Bonnie".
Учащиеся все вместе во главе с группой девушек поют песню под фонограмму.
Учитель: Our party is over. Thanks to everybody!
Этап подведения итогов
После окончания вечера награждаются участники конкурса переводчиков, оформители зала, чтецы, певцы, артисты, активные участники дискуссии. Учитель или кто-либо из администрации школы благодарит всех участников вечера за хорошую подготовку вечера, а зрителей за внимание.
ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ
Может случиться так, что учащиеся не будут активны в обсуждении на английском языке проблем, предложенных учителем. Причины этого могут быть разные: наличие в зале учителей и членов администрации школы; учащиеся, возможно, будут стесняться ребят из других классов, неуверенны в себе, будут бояться сделать ошибки и др. В таких случаях можно предложить учащимся прослушать инсценированные "романтические шутки" и передать их содержание на русском языке. Инсценировки шуток готовятся в период подготовки к вечеру.
