I. Организационный момент
- Good morning! Glad to see you! Sit down, please!
- Let’s begin our lesson!
- What date is it today? What’s the weather like today? Is it sunny? Do you like this weather? I agree. I like sunny weather, too.
- Weather ! This is an ever interesting topic for conversation. Today at the lesson we continue our discussion about the weather. We are going to speak about the weather in Great Britain then we compare it with the weather in our region.
We often say “Everything is good in its season”. Is it so? We try to prove it.
- And at home write a letter to your British friend. Advise him/her the best time to visit Murmansk region. What activities can he/she do?

Now, do you think that the weather is bad? Let’s get to know, what the British think of their weather.
1) They often say “Other countries have a climate, in England we have weather”. Why do they say so? Read the text and find out, what other phrases they use for describing the weather.
THE BRITISH ABOUT THE BRITISH WEATHER The English weather on the whole is not good. It’s very damp, we have a lot of rain. Our weather is very changeable: a fine morning may change into a wet afternoon and evening. But it’s not usually as cold in Britain as it is in Russia or Canada. It doesn’t usually get very cold in winter or very hot in summer. Summer months are often cool, there is always plenty of rain. Sometimes it rains so heavily that the British say “It’s raining cats and dogs.” Planning summer holidays is not easy because you can never depend on the weather. One year June may be hot and sunny and July and August rainy, another year it might be the other way round. So many people go abroad for their holidays, though there are so many lovely beaches on the English coast. The English winter is not cold. The temperature seldom falls below 3 – 4 degrees. The air is damp and foggy. It often rains and it seldom snows. Autumn is the season of foggy, windy days. Spring is a warm and beautiful season. The weather in spring however, is changeable, and even if the sky is blue without a single cloud in the morning there is no guarantee that it may not rain within a short time. It is always wise to take an umbrella. No conversation ever starts in England without a comment on the weather. It is almost a formality like shaking hands. “Nice day today, isn’t it?”, “Isn’t it hot today?”, “Shocking weather, isn’t it?” – these remarks are often used when speaking about the weather. 1. Урок проводился в 8 классе. Учащиеся занимаются по учебнику Биболетовой М.З. “Enjoy English 5”/ Видеоролик для просмотра и аудирования взят из пособия “Headway”.
Тип урока: совершенствование лексических навыков по теме “Weather” на уровне свободного высказывания в виде монологической речи. Урок комплексного применения знаний учащихся, целью которого является усвоение умений учащихся самостоятельно применять знания, умения и навыки осуществлять их перенос в новых условиях. В ходе выполнения заданий проверяется усвоенный материал, на основе которого идет осмысление нового.
Урок построен в соответствии с программными требованиями. Основной целью обучения иностранному языку является овладение иноязычной культурой через основные виды речевой деятельности.
На уроке использованы личностно-ориентированный подход (запрашивается мнение детей), деятельностный и коммуникативный подходы.
В основу построения данного урока положен коммуникативный метод, наилучшим образом способствующий реализации главной задачи обучения: развитие речевых умений и навыков учащихся.
Цели:
1. Формирование коммуникативной компетенции учащихся на основе изученных ЛЕ и речевых структур по теме “Weather”;
2. Развитие умений и навыков у учащихся воспринимать иноязычный текст как источник информации;
3. Развитие умений и навыков устной речи на основе прочитанного текста.

При подготовке к уроку мною были учтены и возрастные, и индивидуальные особенности учащихся: высокий интерес к изучению данного предмета, развитые на достаточном уровне общеучебные умения и навыки, хорошие потенциальные возможности к овладению иноязычной культурой ( развитый фонематический слух, умение сравнивать и обобщать изучаемые явления, развитое воображение, стремление к самостоятельному высказыванию, независимо от речевой подготовки).
Результаты:
Были максимально задействованы дети в уроке, эффективно организована коллективная и индивидуальная познавательная деятельность учащихся. Был дан ориентир учащимся на использование материала на практике, хотелось пробудить интерес к другой культуре и желание высказать собственное мнение по теме погода в нашем регионе и в Великобритании.
