ЦЕЛИ УРОКА:

  • Приобретение и расширение знаний о культуре, традициях и символах родной страны и страны изучаемого языка.
  • Развитие интеллектуальной, эмоциональной и мотивационной сферы личности.
  • Воспитание чувства патриотизма, интернационализма, толерантности.

ЗАДАЧИ УРОКА:

  • Активизация изученного материала по темам “Америка”, “Россия”.
  • Развитие навыков поискового чтения
  • Развитие навыков аудирования.

 ПОДГОТОВИТЕЛЬНЫЙ ЭТАП:

  1. Подготовить презентацию урока.
  2. Изготовить бейджики с именами для “русских” и “американских” детей.
  3. Приготовить карточки с заданиями и контрольные листы для отслеживания результативности каждого этапа урока.
  4. Подготовить физическую карту мира и изготовить американский и русский флажки.
  5. Выучить стихи.

ОБОРУДОВАНИЕ: слайды презентации

 ХОД УРОКА

Урок проводится в виде телемоста. Справа - ребята из России, слева - из США. На столиках - флажки данной страны, у ребят – бейджики с именами. Результаты работы учеников фиксируются в Листе контроля. См. Приложение 1

1. Приветствие. Good afternoon, dear boys and girls. Nice to meet you. How are you?

Ps.- I’m OK, thank you.

- Not so bad.

- I’m all right, thank you

- I’m fine, and you? ......

2.Сообщение темы урока. Today we shall speak about two countries: the USA and Russia. We shall try to build bridges between these countries. On the left there are children from the USA and on the right from Russia. You will tell each other about your countries, we shall do some more activities and at the end of the lesson you will answer the question: Which country would you like to live in? (Вопрос проецируется на слайде). Слайд 1.

3.Фонетическая зарядка. Повторение за учителем собственных имен и географических названий. (Внимание на артикли): the USA, Moscow, Russia, the Statue of Liberty, North America, The Urals, France, Liberty Island, New York, the Kremlin, the Bolshoy Theatre, Lake Baikal, the Volga, Red Square, the Black Sea. (порядок повторения произвольный, используется географическая карта и картинки)

4.Развитие навыков монологической речи. Let’s start. Tell each other about your countries. Listen attentively and then you will say what especially was interesting for you to know. Дети выходят по очереди от каждой страны и рассказывают:

а) о географическом положении своей страны. Используется карта мира.

Р1 Nowadays everybody knows what the word "America" means. First of all it is the name of the country—the United States of America — or just America. And then America is the name of the two continents — North America and South America. These two continents, North and South America, form the part of the world called America. In North America the United States of America is situated. The Pacific Ocean washes it in the West and the Atlantic Ocean in the East.

Р2 Russia is my country. It is the biggest country in the world. Russia is situated on two continents: Europe and Asia. The Urals divide it into two parts. Seas and oceans wash Russia in the north, south, east and west. The Black Sea is in the south; the Baltic Sea is in the west. The Arctic Ocean washes my country in the north and in the east is the Pacific Ocean. Russia is my country and I love it very much.

Р3 Russia is a very rich country. There are many mountains, rivers, lakes and forests in my country, some of which are very beautiful. The plant and animal worlds of my country are also very rich. There are a lot of different animals, birds and plants in the forests, fields and mountains. Russia is also rich in gold, silver and other minerals.

Р4 The American flag is often called "The Stars and Stripes".' There are three colours on the flag of the United States—red, white, and blue. As there are fifty states in the United States, there are fifty stars on the American flag: one star for each state. The American flag has thirteen stripes. The stripes are red and white. The flag has seven red stripes and six white stripes. There is one stripe for each of the first thirteen colonies of the United States

Р5 One Russian symbol is the Russian national flag. This flag has three wide stripes on it. The stripes are white, blue and red. The upper stripe is white, the middle stripe is blue and the red stripe is at the bottom. These colours have always been symbolic in Russia: white — noble and sincere, blue — honest and devoted — devoted to friends, family and to the country. The red colour has always meant love and bravery.

Р6 One of the most famous symbols of the USA is the Statue of Liberty. France gave the statue to America in 1884 as a symbol of friendship. The Statue is in New York is in Liberty Island. It is one of the first things people see when they arrive in New York by sea.

Р7 Another symbol of Russia which all Russian people know and love is the birch tree. You can find these trees everywhere. People sing beautiful songs with poetic words about birch trees and plant them near their houses. In old Russian towns people often call young lovely girls — little birch trees (beryozka, beryozon'ka).

Р8 The eagle became the official national symbol of the country in 1782. It has an olive branch and arrows. You can see the eagle on the back of a dollar bill.

The United States of America has another national symbol. It is the hymn and it is called "The Star-Spangled Banner

5.Развитие навыков аудирования. Стук в дверь. “Почтальон” принес конверт, на котором изображен флаг Америки. Учитель: What is it? What country is it from? What is it inside? Oh, it’s a CD. I think we should listen to it. См. Приложение 1

Before listening: Try to guess what the text may be about. Ребята высказывают предположения: about the Statue of Liberty, traditions of the countries, the birch tree, the Presidents, the capitals, etc.

While listening:

Установка на первое прослушивание. It’s written here that this text is about Uncle Sam. Listen and say if he was a real man or only a symbol (повторение слов cartoon, government, etc.) Слайд 7.

Установка на второе прослушивание. Listen to the text once more and do the task. Take Card 1. Дети вставляют недостающие слова в текст.

After listening: Взаимопроверка по ключу. (Правильные варианты на экране) Слайд 8.

6.Физкультминутка. Исполнение песенки ‘This Is the Way…….’ и выполнение движений.

7. Письмо. Let’s remember how to use articles with proper names. Do we use articles with the names of the streets, squares, monuments, rivers, lakes, oceans, towns, etc.? Take Card 2 and do the task. Слайд 9.

Детям предлагается из 15 заданий выбрать 10, в которых они уверены. Взаимопроверка по ключу. (Правильные варианты на экране). Слайд 10.

8.Развитие навыков диалогической речи. Each country has its capital. Now pupils from the USA want to tell you, pupils from Russia, about their capital. Ask them questions. Take Card 3. См. Приложение 1. Из предложенных фраз учащиеся составляют и воспроизводят диалоги. Слайд 11.

9.Развитие навыков поискового чтения.

Before reading: Now what can you tell your American friends about Moscow? Высказывания детей по первой части текста “RUSSIAN CAPITALS” page169. Слайд 12.

While reading: Now we shall learn more about this capital. Open your books on page169 and read the text “RUSSIAN CAPITALS”. Part 2. Take Card 4 and do the task.

After reading: Взаимопроверка по ключу. (Правильные варианты на экране) Слайд 13.

10.Подведение итогов урока. Today we have spoken about two great countries: the USA and Russia. Please answer the question: Which country would you like to live in? Слайд 1.

Высказывания детей. Учитель: Of course, it’s very interesting to visit different countries, to see how people live there, to admire their symbols, to take part in some festivals, to make friends with children. But I think you should live here, where you were born, where your parents, relatives, friends live, where we celebrate our holidays and festivals and should do your best to make our country better.
