Цели урока.

Обучающая:

Активизация умений вести и поддерживать разговор по темам: “Путешествие”, “Национальный характер”, “Традиции и обычаи”. Расширение активной лексики учащихся.

Развивающая:

Развитие творческих способностей учащихся.

Использование разнообразных форм выражения информации.

Воспитательная:

Повышение интереса учащихся к культуре, традициям и обычаям Великобритании и России.

Задачи урока: назвать достопримечательности Лондона и Москвы, провести ролевую игру “В туристическом агентстве”, поговорить об отличительных чертах характера англичан и русских.

Тип урока: комбинированный.

Класс: 8.

Оснащение урока: презентация по теме: “Достопримечательности Лондона и Москвы”, компьютер, проектор, экран, карточки, аудио: “Звуки природы”.

Today we are going to speak about London and Moscow sightseeing, we shall discuss some interesting facts about these places of interest; we shall talk about the national character of the English and the Russians, about their traditions and customs.

- Tell me, please, what are you associated with the word - London

- Let us remember Moscow. Continue the sentence, please, I believe Moscow is …

- Let us play a game. You must divide into two groups. Some of you will be the English, some of you will be the Russians. Each group must ask questions about London or Moscow.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Thank you for the game. Let’s imagine that some of you are going to visit Russia,

What should you do? Where should you go?

- So, Mr. and Mrs. Smith are going to visit Russia.

 

 

 

- The Smith will be in Moscow next Sunday. But what should they know to get on well with their Russian friends?

- Very good. Look at the screen and take the cards, please. Your task is to choose the words, which are characterized a typical Englishman (for the Russians) and the words, which characterized an ordinary Russian person (for the English).

 

 

- Our lesson is getting over. And my last task for each group is you must recommend to visit something interesting in London and in Moscow.

- Close your eyes and imagine yourself in the beautiful gardens.

You are swimming on the boat and listen to the birds’ singing.

- I think London is …Big Ben, black taxies, red buses, the queen, parks and gardens…

- I believe Moscow is …Red Square, the Kremlin, the Bolshoi Theatre….

 

The English:

- Who was the founder of the Tretyakov Gallery?

- What is the tallest part of the Kremlin?

- When was St. Basil’s Cathedral built?

The Russians:

- Ivan Tretyakov was the founder of the Tretyakov Gallery.

- The Spasskaya Tower is the tallest part of the Kremlin.

- It was built in 1551- 1556 after the victory over the Kasan Kingdom.

The Russians:

- What is one of the Greatest English churches?

- Where is Trafalgar Square situated?

- When did Wimbledon start its work?

The English:

- It is St. Paul’s Cathedral.

- Trafalgar Square is the geographical centre of the British capital.

- It started in 1877 as a small club and had only 22 male participants.

- We should go to the agency.

 

Дети разыгрывают диалог по теме: “В туристическом агентстве”. Повторение лексики по теме:

Достопримечательности Москвы.

 

 

- The national character, traditions and customs.

 

- I think a typical Englishman is reserved, conservative...

- I am sure that an ordinary Russian person is very emotional, hospitable…

 

 

The English:

- We would like to recommend you to visit Kensington Gardens. They are very beautiful and nice. (Звуки природы)

The Russians:

- We’d like to recommend you to visit such place in Moscow. It is called an egg house, because of its unusual form.
