Цель: развитие речевых умений через диалогическую, монологическую форму речи.


  • активизация изученной лексики по теме
  • развитие у уч-ся умений чтения с целью извлечения новой информации
  • совершенствование навыков работы в парах и группах
  • Познавательный аспект:
    • расширение объема знаний учащихся по английскому языку: путешествие, путешествие за границу – за и против, знакомство с традициями и праздниками других стран;
    • повышение мотивации к изучению английского языка.
  • Развивающий аспект:
    • развитие творческих способностей учащихся,  способности к сравнению и сопоставлению полученных знаний;
    • азвитие умения излагать логически свои высказывания, мыслить критически.
  • Воспитательный аспект:
    • воспитание толерантного отношения и  уважения к культуре других стран, ее  людям, образу жизни, традициям, обычаям;
    • привитие навыков работы в малых и больших группах.

Организационный момент. Определение темы урока (3 мин.)

Teacher:  Good morning, boys and girls! Good morning our guests. Glad to see you.
Take your seats, please. Today we are going to have an unusual lesson.
Well, pupils watch a vidioclip and try to understand what we are going to speak about (the topic of our lesson).

Teacher: Well, you are right. The topic of our lesson is «Travelling …what for?»  We’ll discuss     the reasons of Travelling,   pros and cons of travelling abroad, and decide a problem where to go on Christmas holidays. Let’s go on.

2. Речевая зарядка (2 мин.)

Teacher:  One famous said: ’The world is a book and those who don’t travel, read only one page’.
Let’s translate this phrase. How do you understand it? Explain it.

Pupil’s answers:

P1: I quite agree with this statement, because the world is big and when you travel you learn a lot of interesting and amazing things.
P2: I think when you meet people from other countries you have a chance to talk with them about cities and countries where they live.
P3: To my mind travelling is an exciting thing.
P4: As far as I understand, if we travel we learn much about the world and understand the world and people better.

Teacher: I agree with you.

During your trip you could meet so many people from different countries, learn about their cul­ture and traditions and make new friends.

4. Активизация лексических навыков (3 мин.)

Teacher: Travelling abroad is in fashion now. Most people are fond of travelling abroad, others don’t. Your task is to divide words below the table into two groups:  pros and   cons (What is pros…cons?)

discover new places,  help to become more educated person, improve knowledge of foreign language, wait at airports, have to think about accommodation and food, broaden your mind, many places are polluted, it is  dangerous, teach people about art and culture, the beauty of many places has disappeared, help to relax, beaches are always overcrowded, the most fantastic place is home, meet interesting people

(Учащиеся называют сначала аргументы в пользу путешествия за границу, а затем аргументы против).

5. Развитие навыков диалогической речи (2 мин.)

Teacher: Are you for or against travelling abroad? What’s your opinion? Discuss in pairs. I’ll give you 2 min.

8. Развитие навыков говорения (монологическая речь)

Работа в группах (ученики выполняют задания в группах – составляют монологическое высказывание по образцу, используя полученные знания.

– Well, pupils, Christmas is just round the corner. I think it’s high time to decide Where to go on Christmas. What country would you like to visit? Answer the  questions  and make up monologues.  

What country do you like to visit?
What kind of transport do you prefer?
Who would you like to go with
Where are you going to stay?
What attractions would you like to visit?
Howwould you like to celebrate Christmas?
