Тип урока: комбинированный

Цели урока:

  • формирование навыков социального общения через активизацию понятий, связанных с местами общественного питания;
  • формирование творческого мышления учащихся через презентацию собственного мнения.

Образовательная задача: подвести итог знаниям, навыкам и умениям учащихся в рамках изученной темы.

Практическая задача: совершенствовать у учащихся навыки говорения и аудирования на английском языке.

Развивающая задача: развитие речи, логического мышления, способности сопоставлять и делать выводы.

Воспитательная задача: регулировать социальное поведение учащихся в местах общественного питания, воспитывать культуру языкового общения и чувство ответственности за своё поведение в общественных местах.

Оборудование к уроку: ноутбук, проектор, экран, CD проигрыватель, раздаточный материал (ответные листы, таблицы для работы), презентация.

Пояснительная записка

Урок проводится в форме соревнования двух команд по пять человек в каждой. Это является более интересным и успешным. В классе заранее приготовлены две парты для команд-участниц, парта для оценивающих преподавателей и экран для записей результатов. На каждой парте- пакет раздаточных материалов в нужной последовательности. Все материалы урока проецируются на экран.

Ход урока

Вступительное слово учителя: The topic of our lesson is eating out. Our lesson will be held in a kind of competition between two teams. Let’s look at the plan of our lesson.

Students look at the plan and see what stages it consists of.

The teacher: Look at the text in each question Mark the letter next to the correct explanation - A,B,C. Your time will be limited up to one minute.

Students do the reading task.

The teacher: While our jury is checking the points let’s see the answers.

The jury counts the points and gives the number of points.

The teacher: Your next task is to fill in the missing letters into the words. The number of dashes equals the number of missing letters. Your time is limited up to two minutes.

The teacher: Your time is up. While the jury is counting your points let’s see the answers and read them.

The students read the answers aloud.

The teacher: Let’s ask the jury about your points.

The jury gives the total number of points.

The teacher: Your next task is to odd out the word which doesn’t belong to the group. Your time will be limited up to two minutes.

The students are given sheets of paper with the task.

The teacher: Your time is up. While the jury is checking your points let’s look at the answers and read them aloud.

The students read the answers aloud.

The teacher: Let’s ask the jury about your points.

The jury gives the total number of points.

The teacher: Your next task is to fill in the missing words in the crossword. Your time will be limited up to three minutes.

Students are given sheets of paper with the task.

The teacher: Your time is up. While the jury is checking your points let’s look at the answers and read them aloud.

The students read the answers aloud.

The teacher: Let’s ask the jury about your points.

The jury gives the total number of points.

The teacher: Your next task is listening. Listen to the message and complete the notes in your sheets. You’ll hear the message twice.

The teacher: Now you’ll hear a conversation between two friends: Katy and Peter. Decide if each statement is correct or incorrect. If you think the statement is correct, put a tick in the box under A for YES. If you decide it isn’t correct, put a tick in the box under B for NO.

The students are given sheets of paper with boxes .They listen to the conversation twice and fill in the box with YES or NO.

The teacher: While the jury is checking your answers, look at the phrases below and write the name of the speaker opposite each phrase. Write the endings to sentences 6 and 7. Your time will be limited up to two minutes.

The teacher: Your next task is to complete the second sentence so that it means the same as the first. Use no more than three words. Your time will be limited up to three minutes.

The teacher: Your time is up. While the jury is checking your answers let’s look at them and read the sentences aloud.

The students read the whole sentences aloud.

The teacher: Let’s ask the jury about your points.

The jury gives the total number of points.

The teacher: Now your task is to read the text below and choose the correct word for each space. For each question, mark the correct letter A,B,C on your answer sheet. Your time will be limited up to four minutes.

The students are given sheets of paper with the task.

The teacher: Your time is up. While the jury is checking your answers let’s look through them. Let’s ask the jury about your points.

The jury gives the total number of points.

The teacher: Now let’s speak. Look at the pictures which show people having a meal out today and sixty years ago. Say why you think there have been changes in the way people behave when they eat out. Which situation do you think looks more enjoyable?

The students give sample answers and explain why they think this or that way.

The teacher: Now look at the pictures which show people eating out in different places. Say why you think the people have chosen to eat in these particular places. Which of these would you like to eat in?

The students give sample answers and express their point of view.

The teacher: Now let’s ask the jury about your score and see which team has won today.

The jury gives the total score. The teacher names the winning team and thanks everybody for the lesson.
