Тема мероприятия:EnglishmenorScots? Intellectualgame “Brain-ring”
Цели и задачи мероприятия:
- развитие интереса к историко-культурному наследию Великобритании;
- поддержание интереса к изучению английского языка;
- развитие языковой догадки;
- развитие межкультурной компетенции;
- совершенствование навыков аудирования;
- развитие навыков публичных выступлений;
- развитие проектного мышления;
- развитие навыков коллективной проектной деятельности и работы в команде;
- развивитие интеллектуальной и эмоциональной сферы личности учащихся;
Воспитательные цели: осуществление нравственного воспитания, формирование интереса к иноязычной культуре;
Образовательные цели:расширение кругозора, повышение общей культуры учащихся.
Материалы и оборудование:
2компьютера, 2 презентации (формат .pptx) —презентация урока и презентация-табло для подсчёта очков в игре, мультимедийный проектор, проекционный экран, раздаточный материал “Finaltest(RoundV)”—тесты для двух команд (Приложение 1и Приложение 2).
Организационный этап:
Подготовка к мероприятию начинается за 2 недели до проведения. Класс делится на 2 команды —“англичане” (Englishmen) и “шотландцы” (Scots). Каждая команда выбирает своего капитана. Капитаны готовят небольшое выступление об Англии/Шотландии на тему “WeloveEngland/Scotland”.Учащимся даётся задание по самостоятельному поиску и отбору информации о Великобритании (в частности, об Англии и Шотландии): достопримечательности, географическое положение, традиции, культура, политическое устройство, история и др.
Форма проведения игры:
Игра проводится в виде соревнования между двумя командами. Каждая команда состоит из 7-8 человек.Названия команд —Englishmen(англичане)и Scots (шотландцы). Игра состоит из 5-ти раундов.
Round I. Team presentations (Презентациякоманд)

Round III. Intellectual combat (Интеллектуальнаябитва)
Round IV. ThesightsofGreatBritain (Достопримечательности Великобритании)
Round V. Finaltest (Финальный тест)
Очки засчитываются в каждом раунде. За каждый правильный ответ команда получает 1 очко.Макисмальное количество очков, которое может получить команда, если правильно ответит на все вопросы игры — 40. По окончании каждого раунда учителем сообщается общий счёт. На протяжении всей игры демонстрируется презентация-табло, в которой отображается общий текущий счёт игры.Победитель игры — команда, набравшая наибольшее количество очков.
Round I. Team presentations (Презентациякоманд)
Капитаны каждой команды выступают с небольшим рассказом на тему: “We love England/Scotland”.Командаскандирует: “WeloveEngland! / WeloveScotland!”
За хорошее артистичное выступление команде начисляется 1 очко.
Round II. Flags, capitals and symbols (Флаги, столицыисимволы)
Учитель задает 3 вопроса.“Англичанам”— о Шотландии, “шотландцам”— об Англии.На совещание командам дается не более 10 секунд. По истечении времени представители от каждой команды дают свой ответ.Отвечать на вопросы должны разные участники.Максимальное количество набранных очков в раунде — 3.
Round III. Intellectual combat (Интеллектуальнаябитва)
Представители каждой команды играют друг против друга.Два ученика выходят к экрану и задают друг другу вопросы.“Англичанин” задаёт вопросы “шотландцу”, “шотландец” – “англичанину”. Если игрок дал верный ответ — команде начисляется 1 очко. Максимальное количество набранных очков в раунде — 8.
Round IV. Thesightsof Great Britain (Достопримечательности Великобритании)
Учитель задает вопросы о достопримечательностях Великобритании. На обсуждение командам дается не более 30 секунд. В течении этого времени одна из команд должна опередить соперника (жест — поднятая рука, большой палец вверх) и ответить на вопрос. Если команда дала неверный ответ, право ответа переходит к соперникам.Учитель читает верный ответ (демонстрируется слайд), в случае верного ответа команде начисляется 1 очко.
Если команды поднимают руки одновременно, то ответ необходимо написать на бумаге и отдать учителю. В этом случае, если обе команды дали верный ответ — по 1 очку начисляется обеим командам.Максимальное количество набранных очков в раунде — 20.
Round V. Final test (Финальныйтест)
Каждая команда получает тест, состоящий из 8-ми вопросов и, посовещавшись, пишет на листке общий ответ. Учитель проверяет задания и начисляет очки за каждый верный ответ.Максимальное количество набранных очков в раунде — 8.
