Задачи урока: закрепление пройденного лексического материала по теме “Food”, практика в монологической и диалогической речи; обучение речевому этикету.

Познавательный аспект.

  1. Развитие учебно-информационных умений и навыков.
  2. Полное и точное понимание несложного аутентичного текста.
  3. Умение ориентироваться в лингвистических особенностях языка.
  4. Развитие коммуникативных умений и навыков.
  5. Умение отвечать на вопросы.
  6. Умение составлять монологическое высказывание по опорам.
  7. Развитие творческих умений.
  8. Умение самостоятельно и творчески находить решение проблемы.

 II. Сообщение, цели и задачи урока. Введение в урок.

T: Good morning, children! Glad to see you!

P: We are glad to see you too.

T: Is everybody present today? O. K. Let’s start our lesson.

Dear boys and girls! Today we are going to talk about our food. We will learn much new and interesting about different products, good manners and about eating traditions in Russia and England. We are going to practice a role play today. In our role play you will take parts of different characters, for example: a customer and a shop – assistant, English and Russian schoolchildren and some others. We shall have guests from England. They will be here in some minutes.

III. Фон-зарядка.

T: Look! Mr. Tongue has come to our lesson. He wants to train our sounds. He goes to the Zoo every day and sees many different animals there. He sees how a Zoo – keeper gives food to the animals. The animals thank him for the food in such way.

P: The lions say – [i: , meat].

T: The monkeys say – [w, sw, swi:t, swi:ts].

Small monkeys say – [i: , kri:m, aiskri:m].

The elephants say – [ei, tei, pə’teitəu].

The parrots say – [æ, æplz].

The dogs say – [r, driŋk].

Mr. Tongue likes tea and coffee. When he drinks it, he usually says:

[w, w, o, wotə] – Water.

[o, k, f, i, fi, kofi] – Coffee.

[i: , t, i:, ti:] – Tea.

IV. Речевая зарядка.

T: Well boys and girls, our guests from England well be here in some minutes. It’s time to lay the table. Help me please to do it. Read this puzzle and you’ll know what we need for it. Who can do it?

P: My I?

T: Yes, you may.

P(читают головоломку): cup, plate, glass, saucer, knife, vase.

T: And you Ann telephone to the shop and ask if they have got apple and bananas. You know that English people like apples very much. And you Nick will take the part of a shop – assistant.

V. Развитие навыков диалогической и монологической речи.

  • Good morning! Is this a shop?
  • Good morning. Yes it is a shop. Can I help you?
  • I would like some bananas and apples. Have you got any?
  • Yes, we have got good and cheap products. Come and buy.
  • Thanks a lot. Good-buy!

T: Gils, bring some cups, saucers and put them on the table. Bring some plates with cakes, sweets and fruit. Don’t forget about bread, butter, cheese and jam. Put a vase with flowers on the table.

P: "This apple is not red" – says my dad.
“Take another” – says my mother.
A plate of meat for brother Pete.
Some cheese and ham
For brother Sam.
A soft boiled egg.
For sister Meg,
Mike and Sam like sweets and jam.

P: Good morning! May we come in?

T: Of course you may! Come in! Welcome it our school. What are you names, please?

P1: My name is Paul.

P2: My name is Mary.

P1: Is Sasha here? I’ve got a letter from him.

P3: Oh, this is my English pen – friend Paul. Nice to meet you! How are you?

P1: I’m fine. Thank you. And you?

P3: I’m fine. Meet my friends!

T: Mary, Paul, sitdown, please. May we ask you some questions?

What is your favourite sport?

What is your hobby?

P: Now, its time to have tea. Tea or coffee Mary? And what about you, Paul?

- Tea, please.

- With milk?

- Yes, please.

- Sugar?

- Yes.

- Lemon?

P: No, thank you. English people do not like tea with lemon. We like tea with milk. English people drink a lot of tea. We drink tea for breakfast, for lunch, for dinner. We drink tea with milk, not with lemon. We call tea with lemon “Russian tea”.

P: Oh, how interesting! Help yourself to sweets please. Would you like some bread and butter?

P: No, thank you. We don’t eat much bread. We never eat bread with meat or vegetables. We eat some bread only with soup.

P: Can I pour you some more tea?

P: Yes, please. Could you pass me the sugar?

P: Have you are. Some more milk?

P: No, thank you. I like your tea. How do you make it?

P1: It is not difficult.

I feel the kettle with cold water, boil the water, warm the tea-pot, put one tea-spoon of tea in the pot for each person and one extra for the pot. I pour hot water into the pot. Enjoy your tea!

P2: This is the kettle,
So useful for me
For boiling the water
And making the tea.

P: Help youselves to apples please. Mary, what is your favourite fruit?

P: I like apples most of all. English people often say "An apple a day keeps the doctor away".

P: Some of us do not like porridge. But we know that English people like porridge very much. Is it so?

- Yes. We usually eat porridge for breakfast. We like it with milk. And how many meals a day do you have?

- We have 3 or 4 meals a day. Food is what we eat. We can’t live without food. We need food to help us grow. Food keeps us well and strong.

P: Breakfast in the morning,
Dinner in the day,
Tea comes after dinner,
Then it’s time to play.
Supper in the evening,
When the sky is red,
Then the day is over
And we go to bed.

P1: Breakfast is the first meal of the day. We like bread, butter, cheese, sausage, jam and a cup of tea or coffee for breakfast.

P2: Then comes dinner. Dinner is the main meal of the day. We usually have soup, meat, potatoes, salad and juice.

P3: In the evening we have supper. For supper we have sausages or fish, fried potatoes, tomatoes and cucumbers and drink milk. But different people like different food. "Tastes differ".

Some of us like brown bread,
Some of us like white,
Some of us eat a lot of meat
Some don’t think it’s right.
Some of us like apples,
Some drink juice at night,
Some of us eat many sweets,
Some don’t think it’s right.

T: And do you know, children, where does our food come from?

P: Yes, we do. Meat comes from animals, eggs come from birds, milk comes from cows. From milk people make butler and cheese. From plants we get fruit and vegetables. Different food comes from different countries.

Look t the blackboard. Neznaika has drawn a tree. Different things grow on it. What can you see on that tree?

P: (apples, meat, tomatoes, cheese, sausage…)

T: Can it be so, children?

P: No it cant’s be so.

T: What can grow on trees?

P: Different fruits grow on trees: apples, oranges, bananas, plums. Eat more fruit. They have got a lot of vitamins.

T: Try to read this puzzle, children. And you will read about fruits and berries which grow in Sochi.

T: Now look! This is Neznaika! Glad to see you. Sit down please!

P: Would you like a cup of tea?

– Yes, please!

(Незнайка ест, говорит с полным ртом, облизывает ложку и пальцы, ест с ножа).

T: You see, children, that it is very important to know good manners. Let’s give him some good advice.

Good manners

  1. Don’t speak with your mouth full.
  2. Never read while eating.
  3. Don’t lick your spoon.
  4. Don’t eat of your knife.
  5. Don’t put your elbows on the table
  6. Never lick your fingers. Use a napkin.

VI. Подведение итогов урока.

It is no secret that people from around the world eat different kinds of food. People from India do not eat beef products. Cows are sacred animals in this country. People from Japan eat meal with chopsticks. English people have tea at 5 o’clock. And it is very important to know about traditions and customs of different countries, about good manners.

VII. And now open your daybooks and write down your home task.

Представьте, что мы идём по коридорам старинного дворца, стены которого украшены картинами. Это дворец Рудольфа II. У него был придворный художник Арчимбольдо, который родился в Италию. Это портрет императора, которого художник изобразил в образе бога садов и плодородия Вертумна. Портрет сделан из даров природы. Попробуйте нарисовать чей-нибудь портрет, используя все фрукты и овощи, которые вы знаете. Назовите их и напишите по-английски.
